Hi,
I have some bad FPS while playing GW, i have about 20-30 fps and sometimes go down to 10 fps and it jiggle.
I have tried to disable sound accelaration but nothing.
I have tested with different graphics cards (Ati radeon 9550 AGP and Geforce 7600 GS AGP) but i have same fps problems.
I play at 1280x1024 (but same problem at low resolution) at fastest graphic resolution and fast audio quality.

PC information:
Packard Bell IMEDIA 5115 (i have upgraded ram and graphics card)
http://support.packardbell.com/it/it...3318106&g=1400
Intel Pentium 4 model 519 3.06Ghz
RAM 766MB
Graphics card: Geforce 7600 GS AGP 256 MB or ATI Radeon 9550 256 MB
Directx 9.0c

Thanks in advance e sorry for my english

Care to tell us what campaigns you currently own? For both Faction and Nightfall, it is normal to receive this kind of lag, since Nightfall has bumpmaps on the landscapes, while as for faction... Well... Lets just say the map probably wasn't optimized as well as in Prophencies.

I suggest you lower down your resolution to 1024x768. Why? Because that is the cause of '10 fps and it jiggle' symptom. Another method is to turn off V-sync, and turn reflection to Default (instead of All). I have the exact same graphics card (Geforce 7600) on my desktop, and I can confidently say that the setting you are playing on will definitely result massive lag fest in GW. (Except that I have DDR400 1.5gb Single channel Ram, and Pentium 4 3.20ghz HT).

If all the method I specified doesn't help, please tell us what Power Supply you have, because that might be the reason that hinders your performance.

Or perhaps you can try creating a new shortcut and decompress your Gw.dat by doing the following step:
1. Create a shortcut
2. Right click > Properties
3: within the Target Column. Add -image (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image)
4. Execute the shortcut file.

Hope it helps, have fun.

Power/aux Temperature is 126°, maybe a problem is too high?
Problems seems be indifferent by campaign, i have NF and i have same problems in GvGs.
Resolution seems not influence FPS, not much however.

When I mean Power Supply, I didn't mean by the temperature of your computer, but that is indeed rather a bit high. ^^" Still, it would be great to know what Power Supply you have on your computer. (Because sometimes Power Supply does not have the amount needed to maintain a stable state, which may explain the high temperature inside your computer.)

As for GvG, it lags. Regardless of what Guild Halls I'm playing on, it somehow lags. So I presume that is normal.

Resolution does affect FPS by a huge proportion, you probably didn't notice much. I believe that you never really thoroughly test different resolution at different situations. (Such as going through an intense battle with different resolution) I've tested it, in comparison, 1280x1024 and 1024x768 is very noticeable when in combat and especially in GvG. You can expect heaps of 'jiggles' and decrease in 20%-50% decrease in performance when in Combat. And if you want to know how I test this, I have 5 different computers with different specification. (From Low Ranger to High Range, you name it )

Quote:
i have NF
As stated in my previous post, Nightfall contains graphical tweaks that will affect performance even on mid-range computers. There are bump maps on landscape (Presumably only on rocks, bet nobody noticed it), high resolution textures used on NPC Heroes and couple of Bosses, and refracting instances. (Perhaps more than just those graphical tweaks) But you did say something right, GvG shouldn't have carried the FPS problem through NF, since in most cases they are designed way before it was released. However, it still somehow lags regardlessly.

Ok, another solution... Have you tried updating your graphic card drivers? I would assume you already had, since you swap around your graphic card quite a lot of times.

I have updated Bios, but now i can't test if problems persist because i can't use pc these days, seems that temperature reported by old bios was incorrect.
Graphic cards drivers are updated.
On power supply i don't know but is standard provided with Packard Bell IMEDIA 515 http://support.packardbell.com/it/it...&pn=PB13318106
