Could do, could do...
Quite pleasantly surprised to see this bumped actually
The "Bestiary" part of the idea still appeals to me; a book with various lore and skill entries for different monster types and bosses would be very cool.
Especially if they only got filled as and when you killed that type of monster or boss.

do it like XP, if it is 6 lvls lower then you it doesnt count towards title.

Reply to Freon41:
What did you say when you not Charrslayer, you are Rotscale slayer with 100 kill of them, that's harder.. X)

edit: I think a /kill command is also a big advance in this game, it's an MMORPG or not?

love the idea of the kill count but loved even more the idea of the beastiary, sometimes i so bored but i want to keep playing, so u check ur beastinary to know the beast uve killed and learn more about GW, it would be nice if it come with some osrt of info of the mob and the skills thy use and/or locations, very nice to me, would saved a lot of time making builds instead of going to wiki to look for everything u need to know.

But more over, I want a title for slaying certain bosses from certain areas. Just to reference the factions campaign you would get a title for each of the bosses you've slain that are always found in a certain area, like if you've killed all the bosses in the Echovald Forest, you would get Defender of the Forest (1), or have ranks based on how many bosses from that area you've killed. so something like L33t God of the Echovald Forest (5) for all of them perhaps? Indeed.

Would a death go towards your count if you didn't make the actual killing blow? Or would the entire party gain the benefit of the death?

Just curious. I like the idea of a kill count. Good fun.

Rather good idea. Several points are brought up though that may need clarification. 1 Who actualy killed the monster? I think that the servers do keep track of that so it may not be too hard to give the correct player the credit. Monster lvl's? In agreement that if you do not get exp from it you do not get a kill count from it (on the oher hand if they have a total stats page it would be nice to know how many of each lvl I killed) A seperate title for boss killing would be better. All in all a good idea.

Might be a nice idea for tweakign builds.
Yes beastenary, stat page and kill count /signed /signed /signed
Even if whe have to keep our stat page clientside for preformance reasons, it would still be really great.

As for the coun't I say you killed something when you delath at lest 70% of the damage to it before it died, (including the 2 damage per second for each pip of health degeneration, counting only direct damage would not be fair)

As for PvP maybe it should track the amount of people killed from a certain profession, or a similar build or if they where killed in GVG/HA/Random/Team/Faction Battles.

In many games like leyend or Mana or Temple of Elemental Evil you have logs of how many creatures of each kind you killed.

In the tittles tab, there will be the tittles.
- Plants
- Dragons
- Skales
- Skree
- Demons
- Beats
- etc...

Some special creatures (hard, unique, but not bosses) may be out of this or have a common title:
Shiro, Kuunavagh, Glint, The Lich Lord, Varesh, Abaddon, Urgoz...
Thats a nice way about it!

r1 - _____ Hunter
r2 - _____ Ripper
r3 - Scourge of ______

r1 - 500 kills?
r2 - 1500 kills?
r3 - 5000 kills?

A cute idea. I miss the kill count I got used to in Sacred. If they make such a thing in GW even if you can't show it to others it will be entertaining indeed.

I have talked about this with my friends. I think it would be wonderful to see how many Luxons my traps have hurt over the past 9 months.

So my Ritualist gets nice impressive titles in Bladed Aatxes and Smite Crawlers. Because of all the farming.

Maybe in GW2 but I really don't think it's a good idea to add more flash to currrent game.

"You have killed 10,000 grawl in five days!" (farming grawl necklaces .... lolz)

How about a /kill command to see how many things you've killed? There's no need to make a title over it.

Hm....

/Kills
Shows:
- Total number of kills you(and your parties) have made. Each time you earn XP, even if you earn 0XP, one kill is counted.
- Creatures killed so far in the current instance. Both in PvP and PvE.
- Remaining creatures. PvE only. Says how many creatures are leaft alive (without counting animals and 'hidden' enemies that pop-up)
