Wurms crash my computer!
Carinae
Yes, wurms. Not viruses, trojans or worms. But the sand wurms you must ride in to cross the Sulfurous Wastes. If I get in a wurm, and remain in the wurm for ~10min then GW will either soft-crash to the desktop, or hard-crash BSOD.
Every. Single. Time.
3 attempts yesterday...3 crashes after 10min.
Then I explored the Wastes (what I could get to) on foot for hours and hours and hours. No problem.
Then I get in a wurm again, and BSOD after a few minutes.
It doesn't appear to be related to a particular mob, or usage of a wurm-skill, or a particular location.
Anyone else? Any ideas?

Well, you win this month's prize for weirdest bug...
Unfortunately, I have no clue what to do about that :/

Wrath Of Dragons
did it happen to create an error log that you could post here?

Step 1 would be to post some system specs as well as the settings you are running Guild Wars on. But yeah, weird bug.

Take a picture of the BSOD maybe?
And some computer specifications would be very helpful Carin

My system info:
Windows XP Pro (all updates)
Athlon 3200+ (32 bit)
1 GB of Corsair RAM
Radeon 9700 Pro (128 MB)
I run GW at 1600x1200 and max detail. I have the very latest Radeon drivers installed also.
When it BSODS there is no text, just a blue screen and then it reboots. It does create an error log and I DO send it in to ArenaNet.

It looks like you are running Guild Wars at too high a resolution for the video card to handle. Try lowering the resolution to the native resolution of your monitor and see what happens. Trying to push a higher resolution can and will overheat your video card and cause the bsod. If lowering the resolution to hte native for your monitor doesnt work you may need to lower it further or even reset your video options within Guild Wars to a lower setting giving your card a break. Heck I run my laptop at 1440x900 which is the native for its screen and have no problems with an ATI radeon express200m integrated video card.

I run on Radeon X800 XTPE at 1280x960 and don't encounter any issues with worms.

If you have anti-aliasing on with such a graphics cards, it could cause the game to crash. My brother's nvidia geforce 4600 128 mb would crash the game when he was in a worm with anti-aliasing on.
