My brother plays runescape and I always dislkied the game but the one thing that I enjoyed that isn't in guild wars is the option of two handed weapons. Why isn't there
two-handed axes, swords or the option maybe to have two meele weapons instead of a shield?

Scythes are a two handed melee weapon, as are Hammers.

You can also go crazy with a staff!

I'd expect such weapons to come with some new profession at some point in the future.

Why would you want a 2 handed axe when you can carry an off hand? Like a +30 health shield -5 dmg. Shit if I could I would like a one handed hammer...

To get higher base weapon damage? A large axe wielded with two hands will pack much more kinetic energy than a smaller scaled version of the same weapon.
