or in like a full group
cause ive done like probably 30 of those with a heroe/hench group and nothing dropped at all except a long bow and 100g
I've gotten six greens so far, I suppose I've had five or six hours at it:
Sadi's Benediction, Enadiz Defender, Hajkor's flame, Korr's focus, Morolah's Staff, and Chor's Axe.
Given that I have found two other greens the rest of the time I've played the game (around 900 hours now) definitely been having a higher drop rate for me
I still have two or so left before I'm happy. (Saushali's Recurve and a Exuro's Will). I may go for a spear or find a skin I really like too (though I have a max gold Spiraling Spear with the exact mods I want drop from a chest), I do not know. Either that or start getting more of the above for my other characters, though I do not customize caster weapons so I do not really need too (I get them for their stats, not damage).
I just clear out all the normal enemies, send the henchies/heroes away and either solo it or duo it (and this is with my dervish, having to make the builds up on the fly - were any of my regular farmers far enough it would be easier). The hardest ones are where you use the junundu as they kill the last one or two enemies *real* quick and they do not always listen to your commands.

I'm just trying to get 1 of every green before this weekend is over, so my heroes can thank me on the battlefield. |
Coming from someone who usually has bad luck in farming greens, I've done pretty well for myself today. The last time I had a green drop for me was months ago, while doing a quest. I got 6 today, and a couple of those were either surprise drops, or since I was out, I whacked away at a boss and got something for my trouble. I'm quite pleased with this weekend, for once.

Didnt have much time last night so we limited ourselves to Vehjin Mines, did 3 runs on 2 bosses, we got one necro offhand and the Shak sword (zealous, +30, +15^50) between 3 humans.
I'd say thats a higher drop rate, perhaps I am an unusually lucky person though, on the Factions green weekend I managed to fill up the inventory of my mule almost entirely with greens as well.
PS: Bosses can be hard to solo but you can take heroes and not have them steal your loot, simply kill the support cast around the boss, pull back, flag the heroes to be outside the radar and go kill the boss. Drops then will only be for the humans who are near the boss.

Well I got 2 greens so far. one was Chor and the other was Kephket's of all things (doing the quest from Desolation). I admit, it does suck to be caught in the middle of the war between bots and ANet (or ANet's Crusade as some of us call it). I think the anti-farming code hurts more so than the bots for some of us because we are just collectors/explorers and don't usually buy/sell to other players that much.
I'm very interested in seeing how (if at all) ANet reacts to the effects of the "greyed out henchies" trick. This is the first time it's been possible with a major event, so it might take them by suprise this time... But then maybe it's intended and forseen functionality, who knows!?
For those of you who haven't worked it out/seen it done, the idea is to use a full team of heroes/henchies to get to your farming area, then flag them well out of range so their names are "greyed out". While they're out of range like that they won't affect the drop rate, allowing you to "solo" farm previously difficult or inaccessible areas.
...For boss farming, you can also use the hench team to wipe out the boss' mob, then flag them out of combat and out of range, and kill the boss himself on your own.

I've actually had much better luck getting greens in Elona before this event - getting them with full teams while just passing through an area. I'm now trying to get the Deathbringer, but after a dozen or maybe even 2 dozen runs, all I've gotten is a (blue) scroll and a couple non-max blue/white items. Most of the time he drops nothing. I've usually been trying with a team of 4-6 hench since I haven't figured out how to solo it yet. How many more runs...

I'm having the best loot weekend ever! As of last night, I've gotten 8 greens, a near perfect gold staff and numerous runes (mostly minor, but hey, they seem to be worth more gold in many instances). I know that may not be a lot to a professional farmer, but for a casual player like me....WOW! I'm a happy camper.
EDIT --> P.S. No, none of the greens are from Noob Island.
