Sticks and Stones Quest

You get this quest from Awata in the Bone Palace. He says to destroy the Graven Monoliths and collect the Glowing Shards at their core. Well, I've killed dozens of monoliths and not seen a single glowing shard. Is there something I'm missing here or do I just have terrible luck with drops?

I've killed tons of them and so far I have six.

Solo them with wurm, henchman steal drops.

Ok, so it's not just me Of course, now I gotta go grind for glowing shards, so a little bit of mixed feelings there ...

There's a quest from the remain of....something (the competitive misison, you know?) where you have to go back to Sulferous Waste to do it. It's about Abaddon's Temple something. There're tons of Graven Monoliths at the place. You can go there and kill the mobs over and over until you get enough shards (The temple is like a small room so it's not that hard to kill them all at once).

But from my experience, just do the quest at the temple normally and you should get enough to finish Sticks and Stones. Trust me, you have to kill tons of them in this quest anyway.

Well, I don't know about Glowing Shards but Inscribed Shards work fine for me - they reduce the number required, as stated in the quest log. They are dropped by around every fourth monolith for me.

This quest sucked big time for me.

I eneded up buying the last 3 i needed for 1k and got myself out of my misery lol.

Maybe lame or stupid but its done and dusted for me.
