Pyramids?

Conditionally, forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong about this.

There are pyramids in the background of one of the loading screens for Nightfall (the one with a temple-like structure and a highly stylized massive statue of a woman's face in the foreground). Are there any pyramids like them in the game? I think there are some pyramidal buildings (reminiscent of Tikal in Guatemala) later on in the game, but no Egyption-style ones. Am I wrong about this? I got really excited when I saw them in the loading screen, and after traveling to the realm of torment and back, I'm still sorely disappointed.

I know. I noticed the pyramids in the load screen as well.

My only thought now is that it must be concept art.

My guess:
A decision was made to not have the game be too tightly tied to Egypt, so they backed off a bit, perhaps.

My Paragon just got to the Consulate Docks, so I was still holding out hope, lol.

But, all in all the architecture is definitely a blend. I see some Babylonian along with the obviously Egyptian influences but I am sure the designers were inspired by many things historical or otherwise.

i forget witch town but if you go into the town and look outside the cave you can see a big temple with a statue on the side of it

I've been through the game twice so far, sadly I have seen no straight sided pyramids. Though I'm fairly certain there are smaller step pyramids in areas like the desolation.
