Guild Wars under Windows Vista

Hi Guys,

This is more of a 'in case someone else gets this' post rather than a question. I've installed Windows Vista (Ultimate) and when running the game I get really badly corrupted graphics to such an extent that the game is unplayable.

For me there were two things I could do to get around this:

1. Run the game in Windowed mode - not ideal but worked .
2. Run the game with the -dx8 paramater which allowed me to run full screen.

To force Guild Wars to run in DirectX 8 mode edit the shortcut t0 the game and add -dx8 to the end of the target line so it looks like this "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dx8.

ANet's stand on this is Vista is not a supported system so they would not help me.

I'm running a 7900GTX with the nVidia 96.85 RC2 drivers. It was the same with the nVidia drivers that cam with Vista.

you should wait better drivers :S (and why rush with vista its sooo buggy) and dx8 on a 7800gtx rofl ...
