Character info !

I cannot decide.Now i am a necromancer.And i must now decide a 2nd profession.

What is the best combo with a necromancer ?

Probably monk I'd say, then you have the skills for MM'ing and solo'ing at a later date.

Necro/mesmer is a solid combo.

I have also been considering a Necro/Dervish. Just something bout a darkmancer and a scythe...but I am still researching that combo.

Really, what won't work with other professions is the exception to the rule, nearly everything can be the basis of a very strong character.

And it all depends on what your focus is: jack of all trades, solo play, PvE team, PvP, running...etc.

In PvE, lots of deaths means lots of Soul Reaping for you, which means you should end up with lots of energy to spend. I'd take Elementalist secondary I had to choose right now.

Since you're just starting your Necro, I'd pick Monk as your secondary. This will give you a re-usable ressurect (post-searing if you're starting in Tyria) and will give you a good self heal (heal area) if you're using minions.

Later on it will be easy to switch your secodary to mesmer to try some really good hex builds. My fav is Spiteful Spirit which you can easily cap near camp rankor (near droks).
