I've heard you can salvage rare gems from djinn essence i.e. ruby from ruby djinn essence. However, all I've managed to salvage is dust

I have salvaged several and only gotten dust... I am just saving them now for either collector items or to salvage later when it becomes more clear.

rubies/sapphires/diamonds (ive never seen/salvaged a diamond essence tbh) are all rare salvages from their respective essences... keyword there is being rare. you get rare mats at the same rate from essences, in my experience, as say steel instead of iron from some weapons...

keep your high salvage inscriptions and use them on jeweled and ruby daggers and the ruby hammers
