This probably isn't a bug...just an update to the AI. But ever since Nightfall came out, I've found myself doing one of several things when fighting monsters/enemies.
1.) Chasing the healers/casters around as they run away (if i don't cripple them first)
2.) stop chasing them to defend my own healers (usually heroes) against their enemies since they don't run. And have to deal extra damage because their healers are running.
3.) Keep chasing the healer/casters while my heros attack the others (since they sitll can't be healed while chased).
Everytime I find myself chasing one fo them, I'm reminded of hte Warrior Skill "Coward".
Just an annoyance tho.
Coward!

Mesmers are pretty.

Megapixels are not pretty to me.

Cripple, Bull's Charge, etc now have a place in PVE. However they still need to fine tune some of the AI IMO. If you put your monk to defensive, or avoid combat, they will kite more, and if you add Viper's Defense to them they will use it to get away as well.

I've yet to see an AI monk that can kite a mesmer.

Mesmers now have a place in PvE finally, oh wait, they did before. If you want a boss dead, bring a mesmer. GG.

We are at the end of the Guild Wars triolgy, all future games will be called "Guild Chase" and "Guild Tag"... All "wars" have been dropped in favor of to much violence in video games and instead we are allowed to chase ever fleeing foes in games of tag.
For entertainment and parties, we play follow the monk in amazing games of congo-line tag and catch-me-if-you-can.
Later in the end games, we play radar /boo - where the AI runs at the players (out of the aggro circle) to say /boo, then run away before the players can say /boo back.
Back in the Shiver Peaks, we play "Red Light Green Light" with the Stone Summit and Avicara. And in Cantha we play old school games such as "buck buck" - where the AI gathers as many mobs as possible and all jump on the backs of the players, then run away after "jumping" on their backs.

Heheheheheee!! You slay me no really you do!
sinican
that was funny...
but i guess people should have realized if our heros have the ability to "Avoid Combat" so does the AI
ive noticed all healer type AI has the same Avoid Combat command on them...
easy ways around it for me was to target them and then hit next target do soe passive attack to que up the healers then hit previous target again to wipe them... out...
same strategy as you would use In PVP let the healer feel safe then switch all focus to them when their gaurd is down...aka when they are standing in the middle of your group healing the badies you are wacking on all of a sudden start pummeling it...
