Its description says that he will always double attack and hit nearby foes... Not only does it do this, but it removes conditions and hexes with every hit / attack.

Even with 3 people with IAS on him using burning refrain I can't keep him burning... I can't stack every cheap hex on him and keep him hexed... part of the reason gate of madness is such a stupid mission, shiro is broken. Fix it.

I guess it's their way of making Spoil Victor not work on him anymore. Wish they wouldn't though - doesn't see much else use.

I actually had a really easy time with shiro, me and two other guildies and our heroes. I don't think it is broken at all.

Not broken at all, I didn't even notice Shrio removing Spoil Victor when I was fighting him with my Heroes and Henchies.

90% of the Factions players have killed shiro in less than 2 minutes. He is not broken, and he does not need to be fixed. Try [skill]Wild Blow[/skill].

easiest was me and a guildie did it was this:

I was a sword, wild blow warrior
he was an axe, wild blow warrior

when we got the the lich and shiro, I attacked shiro by myself and he took out the lich no trouble, then I kept my monk heroes and stayed soloing shiro why he went around and got all the blessings, by the time he had done that, I had shiro down to 3/4 health, he hadnt used impossibile odds by that time. Then he came back, and BOOM, his searing flame hench made short work of him, all we focused on doing was WBing battle scars so he couldnt regen health and kited around while he got seared by the eles.

just as a note, impossibile odds is a skill, not a stance lasts 10 seconds and has a 10 second recharge

we did it that way, got masters no trouble

OK some people seem to be confusing the factions shiro with the one I'm talking about here which is the one in gates of madness... Wild blow kills battle scars but that is not the problem, impossible odds just tears your party apart if they are scrunched together which is a real problem with henchmen / heroes.

Without anyway to shut down shiro via blind or hexes, killing him has a lot to do with luck now.

actually I've seen him use it a lot quicker than a 10 second recharge. eitherway he died =p

Use flags for heroes.
and yes battle scars is the problem (its how he regens so much during IO).

of course you can do other things such as have aegis up all the time, hex him to miss with necro spells/water magic... lots of ideas.

and its the same shiro!

He has always had the ability to remove hexes, it's just not documented. Bug or oversight...

Apply the killer hexes after he uses the skill. The recharges work well, so as soon as you get into the rythm, it's not a problem anymore.

And I believe he loses 1 hex only, but i never tested it, since the hectic at that part and reduced hex duration makes it difficult to pay attention at timings of stacked hexes.

And, as always, the bunching up problem arises with heroes, real players are much easier to coordinate, since they'll move by themself.

Tip: kill the lich, then aggro shiro. Get him down to half health and run like hell. Then go beat him down. Simple as pie

Although 20 of my Dervish's 21 deaths are attributed to him. *insert random swearing*

Shiro has a natural reduction in condition and hex times.

Aside, why are you relying on degen to kill shiro? Haven't you heard of Searing Flames, Empathy, Spiteful Spirit, or Spoil Victor... just to name a few?

Shiro in Nightfall have no Ritualist-like skills (Echong Banishment and Meditation of the Reaper), only the assasin-like ones (Battle Scars, Impossible Odss, Risposting Shadows).

Without meditation, he is not quite a threat, he's still a pain in the ass, but you can still kill him even with no help of Celestials skills.

Well I think people have a good reason to complain. Granted people defeated shiro in 2 minutes or less in factions. What I would do is just stay in whatever group I was in from raisu palace, enter three or four times and usually by the third or fourth we'd pwn his ass and get masters.

Now the problem is.. if you beat shiro in factions on your third try you've wasted.. what 8 minutes or so? If you beat shiro and the the lich on your third try in nightfall you've wasted.. what 8 hours?

And also to the person above, Impossible odds the stance is irremovable, even from wild blow. Only battle scars the stance is removable. And battle scars recharges quicker than wild blow anyways.

Edit: and I did beat shiro and the lich on mmy first try, I nudged my way into a guilded group as a monk cause everyone needs monks. The fact that I'm speakig for people who didnt have a guilded group should say something :P

I did is first try with pugs, thats right, pugs, no heroes.

We killed him so fast I thought he was bugged. Although we DID have a sv necro and learnt some dervish skills really hurt him.

not to menton blind.

I only had trouble on my second time with a guildie, which is where we used the strat I mentioned a few posts ago

Actually Wild Blow (recharge: 5 seconds) recharges in half the time Battle Scars (recharge: 11 seconds) does. And it's the Battle Scars you really have to worry about. Impossible Odds hurts but can be healed/protted and doesn't scale up if you do more damage like Battle Scars does.

Update the description to reflect the removal of hexes/conditions maybe, but don't change the skill. He'd be even more simple if it were changed to what the description says now.

The mission is fine if you aren't using heroes/henchman. If you use heroes and henchmen you will lose every time to impossible odds. Wild blow or not.

No tonly was that thread necromancy, the statement was flat out wrong. 100% wrong. Shiro is very beatable with hench and hero only.
