I must say, that final riddle is the equivalent of me asking a riddle of "I write books" and expecting an answer of Edgar Allen Poe.

Well, keep in mind it's quite something you can win there.
The riddle mustn't be too easy. No i couldn't have solved it, i'm not good enough in english plus i saw this when it was allready over.

I gotta admit, I looked up Feodor the Baneful, but didn't follow up on it cause I was stuck on a couple of the other clues which I didn't get.

I only figured out two of the items, the hearts, yet I understood the riddle...

yea last night in town it seemed like a bunch of bull but seeing it here brings it all together, and last night i was pissed cuz we got all the way to dredge manifesto and enslavement stones and stuff from SF and even an ascalonian inscribed hammer and soooo much stuff. this riddle could have branched into many things

communism
krutchev (cant spell his name, rofl)
bible
babalon (rofl same here too)
jewish proverbs
a town in india famous for PURPLE DYE


our guesses were as follows:
sickle - communism
dredge manifesto - the communism guy he mentions but didnt work cuz it had to be a russian name
parchment - salvagable from dredge manifesto's
vellum - a thing like parchment, worth a try
1g - never know
purple dye - town in india called tyria known for its purple dyes
ornate grawl necklace - used to trade in for next guess
inscribed ascalon maul of fortitude - writing on a brick (chunk from berlin wall) and he mentioned the item SMASHES!!!! (hammer)
ascalon maul of fortitude - dmg +25% to charr, and the ascalon razor from previous one had same mods, worth a try
tribal axe - no idea how this tied in but helped brought it and said itd work
we also had a runic sheild with +5 energy but that didnt work either, runes = writing.

yea we had wayyyy more then that just thats all i have left in my invt.

PLZ dont lighten up on the hardness though for todays riddle cuz that was fun last night and gave me sumthing to do for 4 hours. also mention in ur next post we r allowed to have teams but only one person gets the prize.

This contest should go down in the histroy books, surely an event of EPIC PROPORTIONS.

Har, I thought he was gonna make us get hard stuff since it was free FoW so I used gwiki and found the hardest matches... managed to get a molten heart on my first ring of fire run. I saw injured giant and closest match I got was enslaved stone summit ones...

you made a in game "game" about ten times more fun than anything i have played seince nightfall released..

I honestly belive that the devs should contact you about it and work somthing out so instead of the lame weekend events they have now.. they can have a treasure hunt kinda like yours instead..

hell i would do this for free.. it was so much fun watching the connections between the game and real life..



I hope anet gets ahold of ya for this idea.. cause this would rock even if the prize was just some sorta cheap item or a title or somthing.

In the end, though, you could have gotten it just by the first part of the last riddle.

I hope I can catch the next event, totally missed this one There was very little playing for me this weekend, burned pretty much the entire top of my pointer finger and a bit of the middle one when cooking . Cant bend it to use the demm trackball mouse becasue of all the gel bandages. Mean mean Bubur Pulut Hitam... but I had my revenge on it. Mmm tasty stuff.
