April Fools Day Event?

Was there ever an April Fool's Day event in Guild Wars? I was just thinking that it would be really fun. I had a few ideas.

1) Turn all spears into cream pies, because it'd be awesome to watch every paragon throw pies at everything.

2) A new collecter headgear. Those black glasses with the big nose and eyebrows attached.

Traps should just show up as banana-peels on the ground, especially the ones that cause knock-down. Even just Spike Traps. And flowers that squirt water at people. And we could do quests where the objective is to pull pranks on NPCs. Oh, and some spells could slime people (like they used to do on Nickelodean). That's my suggestion.

In Spain the day it's December 28th they even fake news on TV and newspapers.

What about saving April Fool's day for next chapter?

Or when you and your guildies/group enter HA all of your professions/templates are changed.

Bad idea, I can see many may people loath Anet for that.

Sedgehammer. That isn't a bad idea, but I don't think april fools day is universal enough or a big enough day to do something like that. Halloween lends itself to a GW day. Christmas is a major holiday in a number of parts of the world.

IMO valentine's day would be a bit better choice... maybe you could have a "headgear" that gives you cupid wings if your cape is set to off. And you can have a pvp arena, teams split by PC gender, that has people shooting hearts at one another. For an event you could have lyssa have people reunite lost lovers in a quest or find ingerdiants for a love potion.

My favourite april fool's joke was what gamefaqs did when you went to their website.

It wuold be really funny a charr aproching to ask if you have a cigarrete instead of attacking your or Shiro or the Lich saying 'Why can't we be friends?' in the dying cinematic.

What's the matter? Every update is April Fools. Only downside is, they're serious with their jokes :P

It'd be cool if they did cute things like had special items that did funny things - like ale that doesn't make your screen look funny, or red bean cakes that make you walk slower, but if they did the thing like the UW/FoW - well id say waaaayyy to many people would be spamming the heck out of everywhere being angry. Still a funny idea though

then say "April Fools!!" on the log in knowtice that day=P
