Competition for a GWP account

This is for my mule account. It used to be chock full of stuff but then I discovered the wonders of the Online Store. Now I've got mules on the same account!

So i'm holding a little competition and the winner will get the account (All this is completely fine as far as I can tell, from reading the EULA and the GWG Rules).

The competition is thus:

The person who can present the funniest/strangest/most outlandish reason for wanting/needing the account gets it!

Well you see i was walking down the street the other week and i found this monkey lying in the gutter so im like hey cool a monkey so i pick it up and take it home. Alright so i try log on the next day and i find out that the damn monkey has changed my password and because well i cant talk to it i cant get my password back to play and i dont want to buy a new copy of the game so yeah moral of the story dont pick monkeys up off the street

Hi, I come from the future. At least I think. The white coats tell me otherwise though, but I have voices in my head telling me to eat burgers. Specifically Big Macs. However, I have recently come to the realisation that I must travel back in time again to prevent a disaster which is about to happen in the near future of the past. It will be a very dangerous task and I already have a crew of five capable men and women joining me on this mission.

I do require one thing from this time, and that is a plate of caviar. If I told you why it was needed, I would have to kill you. But I assure you that it is very important to the success of the mission. We have everything else required, snack boxes, a jar of honey, three loafs of moldy bread and a carton of milk from the future (three years, two days and 5 minutes to be precise) and it would mean imminent failure if we were to travel without the plate of caviar.

And that is the story of why I need this account.

Are you sure it's alright with the EULA? I thought you weren't allowed to transfer existing accounts to anyone, not even for free. It's alright to give out unused serial keys though. Or maybe not.... but I thought that's what it said anyway.

Anyway, I just looked and it seems it is against the EULA
It's a nontransferable license to use the software. The only exception, the 4(a) exception it mentions, refers to minors needing their parents to make the account for them.

ACTUALLY. My friend gave me a used access key to factions, and I email ANET and told them it was already setup as a stand alone account, and they linked it to my account. So that has boundries. I believe by LOAN it means by payment. Any money transactions. If he is giving it away free of charge, there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for sending this in to us. To resolve this issue we would like to make the following ONE-TIME offer of reissuing you a Factions access key for your other existing Prophecies [email protected] account.

If you accept this offer then the current account [email protected] that utilizes that access key will have the key permanently disabled. This does not delete the account, but does remove any bonuses, such as the ability to log into the live servers, that the key previously provided to that specific account. If you wished to utilize that account again in the future, you would need to apply the appropriate keys to it to do so and of course, you will need to purchase a retail copy of the game for each account that you wish to remain active.

If you have any existing characters on the account that is having the key disabled for reissue you will lose access to these characters. If you have existing character names you wish to reuse, you may want to first login and delete those characters to free up the character names for re-use, as we cannot delete the characters for you. Keep in mind, that once free to be used on another account, we cannot guarantee that they will remain free to be reused by you, because another player could use them first.

Regarding your master account access issue, we do not condone the sale or transfer of accounts, characters, items or software between users for any reason; to do so is a violation of the User Agreement. Unfortunately, we will be unable to help you in that matter.

Well. I think that the New Zealanders definetely need this account, therefore it should be given to someone of Russian descent, but they must also have some Irish, Lithuanian, German, and British in them. Thus making me a prime candidate for the account, which would be used for the benefit of the prarie dogs currently suffering from an outbreak of the bubonic plague out in Montana.

There was some idiot in Kamadan yesterday advertising a NF buddy key code for sale for a mere 10K. Talk about moronic.

I would like to reiterate that as per the EULA, accounts are non-transferrable.

But even more than that, this is not a safe transaction, and therefore not something we prefer to host on these forums. Something that must be kept in mind is that at any point in time, the owner of an account can reclaim it, either through password changes, or by going through the support team and providing proof that it is legally their own.

By accepting another individuals account, you risk losing anything you place on it at any point in time.


Regardless of whether this is a genuine offer or not, this is not the kind of thing wanted on these forums.
