Firstly, I have fallen in love with this profession. After starting my Paragon yesterday, I have completely stopped advancing my monk and warrior in NF. This class is so addictive.
This class is also very challenging, because it is not easy. I had to completely relearn playing support! As I see it a paragon can have three different roles. Damage dealer (spear attacks), offensive support and defensive support.
Up to now (level 15) I have played as a damage dealer, because its alot easier than the others. But I am not content being a subpar ranger. For that reason I have decided to try the support char. I stronly believe this is where the class will excel.
The challenge for me so far can be summed up in one word...Micro Management... Anyone else finding the micro management insane? So far I have been playing with my heroes with their panels open on the side of the screen to see whether the echo's is still in place or in need of replacing. At the same time I have to make sure that I am attacking for that all important adrenaline. And never forget to see when your chants/shouts recharge so it can be cast again.
How did everyone else get past this? With the heroes its not too much of a hassle, because its easy to re-apply the things that is needed. I can just imaging how hard it is to support a team of 8 chars allready..
Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nvm, tweaked my spear build a bit. A ranger wishes he was like me.

Place skillbar and attributes.

The trick is to have only 1 echo that doesn't renew which you use on 2 or so players. For me that is blazing finale, which I place on the warrior and because of that it isn't hard to keep it up. Generally I let my paragon hero take care of motivation business, I just concentrate on leadership and command attributes which require less micromanagement.

My skillbar and attr doesnt really mean much at this stage. Still on the starting island so very limited to the skills I have. It was just a general question, since keeping track of your echo's is impossible in a PUG. With a wellrun team of guildies it might work.
For my current limited build I am running :
1. Anthem of Flame
2. Spear of Lightning
3. Go for the eyes
4. Watch yourself
5. Aggressive Refrain
6. Sprint (I always have a running skill incase my whole group wipes and I need to res)
7. Leaders comfort
8. Signet of Return (I hate this rez...)
This spear build is extremely effective. It provides no defensive support or healing, but everything dies so fast it is hardly needed...

If you are ever interested in a different build, here you go.
My paragon build incorporates high defense, but with heroes the killing power and defense is insane.
My heroes are
Koss - Axe
Zhed - Searing Flames
Dunkoro - Healing Light variant.
My skill bar.
Song of Restoration {E}
"They're on Fire!"
Aria of Zeal
Anthem of Flame
Signet of Synergy
Spear of Lightning
"Watch yourself!" (does not need so much tactics- spammable really.)
[Res Slot] I usually use Sunspear Rebirth Sig, most of the time my party doesn't die though..
It's really quite good on the defensive side, damage reduction of burning foes, and energy/health gains from Aria of Zeal and Song of Restoration.
It might seem bad, but hey, it got me over halfway through Indomitable Survivor before I died (Jennur's Horde.. sigh) - I did missions quests too, none of that farm crap.
Good luck.
edited: I confused the ballad/song of restoration skills.

Now, exactly why do you have no elite? (Ballad isnt an elite).

I would imagine he probably meant "Song of Restoration" which, if memory serves, IS an elite.

Lol, embarrasing.
Yeah, I meant Song.. I always get them confused.
