Guild Alliances question

I have a question about alliances...

can they include guilds from other servers.. i.e. can an alliance, with 2 guilds in the US servers, have a guild from the euro servers in it?

I think so. I was in a Euro alliance in which I beleive there was a US-based guild in it.
