Alliance Faction, guild and leadership question

Im wondering how this work...

Some people say if you gain more faction points then you gain leardership over the Alliance... how does this work? Or is that true... i just want to make it clear

not true, the guild that created the alliance is the leader of the alliance until the alliance folds
