I enjoy playing Paragon. I enjoy it alot. I have yet to unlock some of its many versatility options. But, here's a build I've quite enjoyed. You don't deal damage directly, but channeling it through a warrior, assassin, or dervish.(Maybe even ranger).

Recommened Items: Spear with +5 energy, Health +30, and Maybe a Furious Mod. Shield with Command +1 and Health.
Attributes:
Command: 12 + 1 + 3
Leadership: 12 + 2 (or 1)
Skills:
"Incoming!" Elite Shout. For 7 seconds, all party members within earshot take 50% less damage.
I particularly enjoy this skill, because its damage reduction. Time it right, and you'll be saving lives.
Blazing Finale Echo. For 33 seconds, whenever a Chant or Shout ends on target ally, all foes adjacent to that ally are set on fire for 1...3 seconds.
Because many of the shouts (GFTE and FTW) can and are removed quite quickly, this will cause some decent damage with burning.
"Go for the Eyes!" Shout. For 10 seconds, the next time each ally within earshot makes an attack, that attack has an additional 78% chance to be a critical hit.
This skill is on almost every single Paragons bar, and for good reason. Combined with the below skill, its significant damage.
"Find Their Weakness!" Shout. For 21 seconds, the next time target ally criticals, that ally also inflicts a Deep Wound for 21 seconds.
This skill is awesome with GFTE. Almost a sure 21 second deep wound, and thats a very long time.
"Stand Your Ground!" Shout. For 37 seconds, all allies within earshot receive +24 armor when not moving.
Good for all occasions, except when kiting, of course. Good for your battleline friend, and eases pressure for monks. (Also, good because it affects Allies, which helps when needed to defend some one.)
"Make Your Time!" Shout. You gain 1 strike of adrenaline for each party member within earshot (maximum 5 adrenaline).
A quick charge for my GFTE? Any day please.
Anthem of Flame Chant. For 10 seconds, the next attack Skill used by each ally within earshot also causes Burning for 1...3 seconds.
Mainly a fill-spot. Test "They're on Fire", if you could.
A Ressurection skill.

Explanation:
I Hope you have an a melee attacker in you group. Assassins will cause sure Deep Wound with GFTE. Here's what I do.
When Engaged, target an enemy and attack, just to build aren for GFTE. Switch to you melee friend, and use Blazing Finale, then FTW then GFTE, Stand You Ground!, Anthem of Flame, Then Make Your Time, then GFTE again.
Add Incoming when needed.
Also, since most of the skills are Shouts, you can cast them instantly, so just quickly press, press, press!
