Non-Elonian Alts Get Ripped Off

Really, what's my level 20 monk going to do with a level TWO koss? Power level ftw? Non-Elonians should definitely get all Elonian heroes at level 15. That's what Non-Elonian Heroes start as, and that's enough to get through the Nightfall Campaign (coming to Elona puts you at an area level 15 heroes can easily handle).

Yeah its stupid but get over it... just think of it as the noob wammo that holds your team back and gets himself killed all the time. Managed several higher level missions with low level heros and did them just fine.
If the worst comes to the worst... afk LB farm and bring a low level hench, worked fine for Sousuke. Lvl11 to 20 before the day was done.

You do realize that the heroes gain xp at a rate of 5x your own if they are below your level right? Just grab a few of the bounties, maybe an xp scroll or 2 and your low level heroes will be caught up real damn quickly.

Lets think about this right?
Your given Koss at the start of the nightfall game, correct.
All the creatures on the starter island are very low lvl, correct.
Exactly why do you need a lvl15 Koss at the START of the game, no matter what your own lvl is?
Koss and other Heroes very quickly lvl up anyway due to the high experience you gain from missions and due to pwr lvling, so.... stop winging.
I really didnt see an issue with it.
But I know exactly why your complaining....
...because you want to be able to go to Elona, pick up Koss and then return to either Tyria or Cantha without making any actual effort to lvl him up.

Why would they give an Elonian a lower lvl Koss then a Tyrian or Canthan? The point of going to Elona is to play the game, so they EXPECT you to play through it and have them lvl up.
Thats why your given a mid-range lvl Necro and Ranger in Tyria and Cantha.

Also if you have heroes in your party when you accept a quest reward, they get the exp too. Heroes are very easy to level.

it also doesnt make sense that he's level two. He should have been leveling up with the natives until consolate docks where he'd be level 15.

For really fast training of 3 heroes at a time - do a few factions missions without collection the rewards, get the 3 heroes of choice and get a few rewards, thats 15k xp per hero per quest, not bad if you ask me....

After completing all 3 missinons in Istan, Koss wll around level 13-14.
But you'll have, Koss, Melonni, Dunkoro and Tahlkora (and maybe Olias, Zenmai and Jin/Sousuke)

The game is not necessarily grind-free, just free of grind in order to play the game.

If you actually DO QUESTS!!! you will be level 20, have all the gold you need for normal armor (you don't NEED 15k) and a weapon.

Spitfire, any proof of heroes gaining exp from quest even when out of the party, i know the part about them gaining exp while in the party , but not while out of the party.
BTW a little tip, if you come from factions or tyria, dont use the lvl 15 heroes, just do a few quests and mission , with the lowest lvl heroes, or do the quest with the high ones if you want, because you know the low ones will do too mich, but accept the reward while the low ones in your party. ( unless Spitfire can confirm they gain exp even when not in party)

Running outside Yohlon Haven into Arkjok Ward, taking all of the priest blessings, and clearing the bottom half of the zone nets you about 500-600 Sunspear points a run. =)

I brought my lvl 17ish Ranger over from Cantha, and started the Elonian campaign. I noticed Koss was lvl2, but in all honesty it didn't freaking matter.

Its just plain STUPID. Its unnecesary grind. Make them a higher level or make them the same level as you are. Just because some of you enjoy grinding for everything doesnt mean it should be that way. Guild wars is supposed to be anti grind and Nightfall is all grind. Heroes, sunspear points, grind grind grind.

I brought my Ranger from Tyria and actually didn't even have Koss in my party when I did Consulate Docks and then I lost him at level 2.
When I got him back, I just threw him into the party and he was amazingly resilient in Arkjok Ward and Marga Coast and in no time at all he was level 20.
So there is no "grind" to get your Heroes to level 20. At level 2 they were better than some level 20 PUGs I've been in.
Whoever says there is "grind" should learn how to properly play the game.

With a few 250% xp scrolls(800g a piece), I was able to get Koss, Talhkora, Dunkoro, Melonni, Olias, Zenmai, & Jin to level 20 in about 1.5 hrs. Do you need to get all 7 of them to lvl20 to get pass Consulate Docks? I doubt it. I leveled them up to 20 for my protector titles for cantha.
It's fine the way it is. They gain xp alot faster then you do. One run in Witman's Folly, Koss went from level 2 to level 7.

I've brought my first "foreign" character to Elona finally. I too never had Koss in my party. But Dunky went from level 6 to level 8 (or even 9?) JUST from doing Consulate Docks mission and bonus once.
I've got my level 20 Rit, 4 level 20 henches, and I'm leveling my heroes at a very brisk pace around Marga and Sunward, doing quests, uncovering area, and going up in Sunspear rank very quickly.
I have had NO problems staying alive or killing things. So no complaints here.

about sunspear points, 2500 is not hard, just make sure you always take bounties when doin quests, and kill enemies in your path instead of avoiding them to save time, i reached 6800 points with that, before reaching vabbi, and i finished the Docks all the way through to the start of vabbi within a few hours, and not only will you get sunspear points, but you will recieve lvl 20 heroes out of it, nobody was complaining when you get goren/norgu at lvl 18, when all of your heroes are 20, meaning.. OMG GRIND..

With my Dervish, I made Primary and Cooperative Mssion until Consulate Doks, then before doing Consulate doks, I wnt to Tyria and Cantha to get Heroes there. First Tyria... got Olias, then Cantha.
In Cantha, I made a couple of quests and got All heroes at level 20 under 20 minutes..
Thought not everybody have Factions... they should,
