How do we apply to be a GW beta tester?
1 pages • Page 1
pretty sure that all beta testing slots are filled and i would imagine it would be doubtful if they selected anyone new or if they did that it would be open to any and all. If for some reason they needed other testers I think they would go to the "so called" elite players and recruite them. Just my 2 pennies worth :P

Beta Weekend Events are typically open, or semi-open events.
Beta testing for Guild Wars is often referred to as Alpha testing, though it's technically by definition of the Beta variety, and is furnished by players through a referral/invite-only system, as I understand it.
Longtime/productive testers earn invitations and bring in other individuals as they see fit, who sign an NDA, and then wait for approval.
Perhaps someone with actual experience can give a more detailed summary, but the key point remains that one can not actually 'apply' for beta testing.

I got a freind who was an Alpha Tester. He said he signed something, and he wasnt aloud to tell me nothing. He tested for Factions, and he is probly noticed as an "Elite PLayer". He was invited by a freind of his who was in his PvP guild. I asked him how to become a tester and all he told me was "You need to be reconized from an Anet worker, or from another Beta Tester who is able to invite you". THis was a while back and I do know this kid for "Making things up".
So i dont know how accuret this acually is, but thats what i know....
Wonder what they say if i sent them an email or support or whatever, and asked how to become a beta tester..
