Hi Everyone,

I have my Olias as a full time MM Necro. Now I have the Master of Whispers I not sure what build to use on him.

I've been told Echo SS doesn't work well with heros, so someone recommended I try a N/Mo Orders Necro... like the one here on GuildWiki:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:N...rs_Necromancer

So can any advise how well they can use this build?

Thanks in Advance

I will try this out although I'll probably swap order of pain for oov and well of power for blood renewal. My experience shows that a hero with self heal (or any enchant for that matter - try putting tainted flesh on olias and leave town) will spend a lot of time spreading that around to the rest of the party. Not sure if the ai is good at recognizing sac/self-heal cycle beyond a very basic blood of the master sort of thing.

I've had pretty good luck with 1 mm hero and 1 curses hero. I use awaken and ss (rather than trying to echo it) and then mark of pain and whatever else I feel like at the time to slow and hurt and weaken the enemy (and even some heals since he'll have time and energy to burn) while the mm's minions carve them up.

The beauty of templates and 100% salvage of runes etc from heros is how easy it makes it to try out different builds.

I've been running Olias as OoV for a while. He does a fairly stellar and predictable job. He usually starts casting orders as I begin my attack (depending on the distance I am from the target).

Only problem is he's too good at orders. He doesn't really cast anything else. I gave him a bunch of good lifedrain & lifetap skills, but he never uses them unless I tell him to.

I gave him Well of Blood, and he seems to have fun with that. I gave him BR, and he seems to keep the monks peppy, but he spends half the time BRing people, cutting down on the Order time.

So bring whatever other skills suits you, because other than Orders, Wells, and BR, he won't be casting much anything else (I would love someone to tell me what he would cast).

Hollerith pretty much hit the nail on the head. Necro heroes will prioritize Orders right on top. I tried him with OoV and OoP, which he seems to keep up pretty consistently. If you add wells to their skillbars they will cast those wells at nearly every opportunity, guaranteeing energy waste. Set your hero to the passive setting and he will pretty much avoid danger. Add a self heal and wells if you dont mind Shift-clicking to disable those skills when neccessary.

Also, as always, run Orders with lots of physical damage. I have been using Koss with Hundred blades and Jin with Barrage to good effect for most PvE.

Necroes won't put BR or BiP on anything but monks unless you make them, either, fwiw.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I'm setting up my Master of Whispers as a Order Necro, and keeping Olias as a MM.

Another skill he uses is Unholy Feast. I'm not sure if this causes him to run in farther than he should (maybe BR keeps him back?).

I set my Olias as full blood orders and it helped me rip thru the first half of the campaign with ease. he seems to have no trouble with orders and didnt die from overuse.
