Ok im about to get nightfall this christmas, and i had a question about classes.

I own prophecies, but down own factions. when i get nightfall can i still make an assasin or ritualist even though i dont own factions?

No, you must own the chapter to use the expansion professions from that chapter. You will get the Paragon and Dervish for Nightfall.

you can change your secondary to either sin or rit fairly early in the game if that helps.

I'm pretty sure you need factions to have them as secondary profession as well.

Not so sure on that one actually.
I mean after all the respective Rit and Sin bosses will remain in the game no matter if you got the second campaign or not.
Which makes their skills cappable.
Which logically means that you'll be able to change your secondary to those professions.
Just my pov, might be wrong.

YOu are wrong..capping means you need to have a secondary or primary of that class..You go and cap a sin boss as a mes/necro and you get what in box.......nothing..You need to have the campaign..
