i have so many questions...

at first i was using my para as if he was a warrior or a ranger without the traps...

but as i was going on i came to realize that this toon isnt made to be used this way. so i read alot of the post here and i am going to try a few things out, but need some help and advice.

ok heres my thoughts or things i need some advice on:

- some skills u guys listed i cannot find at any skill trainer like;
- Ballad of restoration, solder's fury, energinzing finale, aria of zeal, blazing finale, bladeturn refrain and aggressive refrain.

- i was a para/war and was using a darksong spear and geo's bul shield. i know lame but hey we arent all rich. so im wondering now that im leaning away from going all spear to a motavation/leadership/command para.. what weapons or secondary items should i get? what would be the best?

- as for my armor.. i got the 80 armor from the docks. since the build and skills im using use E i went with these ruins and insignias. tell me if i messed up.
- 1 rune of minor vigor, 3 runes of attunement, 1 sup motavation mastery, 1 survivor insigina and 4 radiant insiginas

let me know what you think. if i went wrong how i should fix it and what you would do.

Hi Anansi (did you get your name from a certain spider?)

- The skill trainer doesn't have all skills availabel from the start, you need to advance in the story to find a skill trainer that has those skills that you can't find. Another option is to unlock them in PvP, this way you can buy them at any elonion skill trader. In addition, there are a couple of skills that cannot be bought at any skill trainer, these are called elite skills and can be captured from enemies, if you advance enough in the story you'll soon learn how that is done.

- The names of your weapons/shields don't really matter, for a paragon, all that matters is that you have a spear for your weapon and that it is max damage, the max damage is 14-27, any other mods you might get are plusses. A darksong spear can have these stats just like any spear type in the game. Remember, this counts for just about everything in the game, the type doesn't matter, the stats do. For a shield you want to search for something that gives 16 armor, in addition you need to be able to weild it, look at the requirements on the shield and see if you have them.

-Your armor sounds fine, it's really impossible to mess up to start with. if you find like you're dying a lot you can always change your attunement runes to vitea runes.

I loaded my armor with centurion insignia (extra armor while under a shout), with 1 sup leadership rune, 1 sup vigor, 1 minor spear, 1 minor command. Note that I have not a single attunement on my armor, because I have zero energy problems with 10 leaderhip.

what happens with 10 leadership? does the cost of casting skills deminish?

but in the PvE what towns are skill trainers located in so i know where to go to search cause i looked in all my towns and the ones that arent elite i cannot find to buy anywhere

A high leadership helps alot with energy management, i dont die to much nowadays.

I used a superior spear mastery [+3] with the spear mastery headpeice [+1 stacking]
With a major leadership [+2]
My other armour runes just protect me from Physical or +10 when im attacking so it all works out fine i guess. This character is strictly PvE though mind you.

Max damage spear helps
What i carry in my offhand slot depends.. most of the time i just carry my "Idol of aptitude" [+11 energy] Requires 9 blood magic, even when im not necro it still adds a little extra energy. I do have gold leaf sheilds and such but i dont really use them unless things get really physical.

Soldiers fury/Aggresive Refrain are really a must in my opinion, I captured "Soldiers Fury" boosts attack speed 33%, i just keep "Anthem of flame" going constantly in battle, a high leadership helps here as you will get even more energy back from this skill.

The main role of a Paragon is as support the party:
a) damage increase (Go for the Eyes!, Anthem of Flame, Blazing Finale)
b) damage reduction (There's Nothing to Fear!, Incoming!, They're on Fire!)
c) healing (X of Restoration, Signet of Synergy)
d) energy boost (X of Zeal)

The Paragon can also be a powerful damage dealer, as you mentioned, a Ranger without Spirits, Traps and Pets.

Leadership increases the amount of Energy a Paragon recharges when he Shouts. So a high Leadership is useful to keep a Paragon's chain of skills powered.

The Darksong can be quite useful if you bring Barbed Spear skill to cause Bleeding, as it lengthening the duration.
