offline status

i just want to know if it is a bug or something...everyday at least 5 or more guildies seem to be offline on the guild list, but actually they are not...the most of the time if they press again online status the problem is corrected but it is still annoying..anyone else has the same problem?

A friend of mine is having the same exact problem. He's on a wireless network, and it's somehow kicking him out of the 'chat interface', where he can't PM or type in Local or Trade, but for some reason, he can still send and recieve from Guild chat. It happens for like 5-10 minutes at a time. He says he doesn't experience lag at those points, either.
I think we managed to figure out that it has something to do with his router, possibly? I dunno. Not very technical when it comes to wireless networks, but check to see if these guildies are on a wireless network, too. There may be a problem related with that somehow.
Anyway, this should probably be moved to Technical Issues.

Is it possible they are doing it on purpose?
A few months ago in my guild, we had a Really needy guildmate that would constantly ask for runs and help with even the most simple quests and missions. After a while, whenever he got online, a few guildies would change their status to offline.
This needy guildie was so bad, that a few of our active guildies would just immediately sign off when they logged in and saw that he was online.
Luckily, he left to start his own guild (lol) after a few weeks.

I have a problem with automatically disconnecting from friendsserver (showing me offline). If that's the problem of your guildies; I didn't find a solution to it in almost a year now, so you better get used to it

most of the times its a friendlist disconnect..but not always.i know this think happened sometimes in the earlier days but with the release of nf its a daily issue.and no they are not doing it on purpose .

I disconnect from the flist pretty much constantly. I don't think I've ever been connected for more than 5~10 minutes. If your guildies aren't setting offline on purpose, then this is the most likely explanation.

Is there a brand of router in common here?
I know the Linksys wireless-G speedbooster router has known disconnect problems in v5 and above... And it is also a very popular router.

A direct connection via wire touching wire will always be better than a wireless one.
Always.
(the only issue would be, say you have 5 comps in different rooms with no data run there, meaning you would have to do it or pay someone, thus why wireless is so popular)
I ran my own cablez and terminated it =]
Im an electrician... so....
The company I work for hardly does data though...anyway...im off topic now.
