A 85 necro CAN do it!
BUT with 2 exceptions.
#1, I had to leave a Sapphire and this Diamond dijinn alive because of lack of energy (To get SS, IP and PS over and over)
#2, Instead of blessed sig, do orion of healing. As with everyone else, burning got to me, and in fact ... this kormab kill was with 13hp lol.
Crazy funny they dont even put a dent in you when you have 3 regen and only losing 1 hp per hit .. LOL
Orion @ 9 healing prayers is 53HP, great for a quick heal if you're close to dying @ 85HP.
This was the first successful run. The others I didnt put HB up quick enough.

i farm in reslendent Makuun (or w/e) with my 130 hp dervish.... and can only get bout 5-10 djins every time
and also whats the ratio for essences to salvage into rubies/ sapphires?

Missmelady, where exactly are you farming? You're saying that you're getting ~50 essences per run, which equates to a very probable 150 djinn killed. Its not Resplendent Makuun or Ahdashim, unless i have some sort of quest active thats reducing the number of djinn. I'm not saying that you're BS though, stanger things have happened.
With regards to the Ranger Duo, I'm pretty sure it will work so long as the groups aren't so large to cause scatter. This would probably be a lot faster than SS. I tested it tonight on some minotaurs and the larger groups still scatter to heal, but smaller <=3 groups will hold aggro.

I just tested it with Margrid (hero) and it worked nicely, but it doesn't damage the paragon djinns in Adashim. I imagine that additional skills could be used to deal with the remaining paragon djinn, but its late already.

Imo, I run through Dasha with Garoth's build, hb/ps/spoilvictor/vt/eb/bs/ws/mending
works like a charm, unless I get morale boost, where I usually just die once, to get rid of it..

I farm dasha vestibule. There are 18 djinn(counting ethers at the start, then their are 2 groups of 6 on the way to the first boss. Like i said run takes me anywhere from 1 hour to an hour and a half depending on the ehter spawns at bosses. Can easily be run at 60dp also. Just bring armor without sup runes. I actually have a set with sup, a set with major, and aset with minor in one of my bags. Only Problem with dasha vestibule is that someone that got magrid instead of master of the whispers has to get you in intill you beat the game and unlock the heros in the end game zone. Ok. Thats about what I'm seeing as far as numbers, i must have bad farm code though because i only got 14 essences on the last run, and 1 of three greens. The drops were becoming reminiscent of elona reach... 1 gold (junk), 1 purp, and a couple blues.
On a positive note, the essences sold for 1k each in about 5 minutes.
As far as the dp goes, i had between 0 and 60% the whole time, but 2 sets of armor and 5 offhands makes getting the hp right easy.

I still don't get how to farm with SoA... It don't regenerate your health and drops the damage on you only a little, as far as I saw. You also cannot keep it up with BA at 30% (12 DF) and a 20% mod, because you have it 9 seconds on you, and the recharge is 10.
I've done this build with Healing Breeze, though I didn't tried the bosses because of the 3 Roaring Ethers there (how can anyone kill these 3?) and I had to leave 2 Diamond Djinns alive because of the health they gaint. Furthermore... The very best thing I got was 2 loads if Glittering Dust

I think you misunderstood me, King_Robin. I can handle 1 Roaring Ether, though not 3. But maybe I can try do such a headgear switch, even if it helps only 1 rank... But then, still, it seems unclear to me how to take 'm with 3. I now saw the movie, and I think I can work with SoA+HB, but even then I'm wondering how to manage a build with SoA, PS and no HB. (except when you're not burning, of course)

Ohh well sry for that ..... But this kind of farm you can't get SO much Ruby or Sapphire.... I only get dust....

No problem. I'm now using a better build from the video, and I can tank more at once, and in that way killing more. I'm not yet been able to kill a boss, because I mostly lag at that moment.
But the drops are not good. I've got 3 loads of dust now, 1 rune (minor strength) and 1 gold bow (14-28 :S) with all perfect though useless stats.
Maybe I'll get more once this bosses are defeated.
And then there's the AoE problems... My Ruby Djinns are running away from me when they got too much dmg, they recharge, and attack again. I can't get them killed when there are 4 left, so I lure some bigger groups then... which mainly results in pretty fun farming, but low drops.

Hmm so far I got 3 Silver Dyes in a row, a bunch of golds (drops and from chests), and about 50 essences.
I superior salvaged them all, all turned into 1 Piles of Glittering Dust. I also salvaged a Jeweled Daggers and it turned into my one and only Sapphire.

far as i can tell, it is very, very very low rate of change from essences to gems.
Though, by adding a measure for measure inscription to a pair or ruby or jeweled daggers, you are more likely to get a gem from them.

I agree. Most of the gems I've found till now come from geodes and jeweled daggers. I believe beetles farming could be more profitable, but this has to be proved first - i mean find first the right farming spot and get the drops that make the run worth it.

Why do people still think something is gonna get nerfed because it's posted on a forum. If Anet thinks there's a need to nerf something they'll do it. Most of the time because of skills being used in PvP. If there is a good farming spot, Anet knows about it. Probably before most of you do :P All I'm saying is: Anet doesn't nerf areas/mobs/whatever because someone posted a guide/thread/build !!

They have much better ways to tell if a lot of farming is going on in an area than anecdotal forum evidence - all they need to do is query their database for number of instances created, avg party size, etc.

I'd say in the hidden city, which has the positive side effect that you can get some lightbringer points as well ;-)
