Where did blood spike go?
Glints Bane
Ok I've been out of guild wars for a while but got back into it about 2 months ago. I remember before I left Heroes Accent had a lot of blood spike groups. My question is where did they go? Are they even effective anymore?

The 6 player limit killed Blood Spikes.
However, my mini-blood spike works well in RA.

I saw that, gj. yeah blood spike is dead, a.net killed it. Try doing some Mystic Wrath or dual paragon builds if you want to get back into halls

You guys don't watch much GvG do you? Just last night they were rolling the new blood spike with Paragon to pump everyone up with Chants. Build is still there, just not in HA, and not with a Rit. Rits are almost completely extinct from large team PvP atm.

Shiverpeak Reformed (shiv) is running a Blood Spike build. I won't give the details since it hardly belongs to me - I just watched them defeat Treacherous Empire when they were rank 9 or something. Suffice to say that Shiv went from rank 650 to rank 14-15 in a few days.
In the current GvG metagame full of defensive teams (2 P/Ws, 2-3 monks, 2-3 chained aegis) that are just waiting till VoD while a lone sin is ganking the NPCs, Blood spike should be highly effective, since life drain is not affected by things like Aegis, armor or Incoming, and the monk infinite energy is less relevant. I actually expect more teams to start GvGing with this kind of setup.
