9 skills slots
Gor Peace
Hello everyone,
Since I started to play GW (1 year ago), I felt that 1 extra skill slot would make all the difference in-game. I know that many people disagree with my suggestion, but I believe it could be very helpful to have an extra skill slot. Players could obtain this extra skill slot (9th skill slot) by having all the high titles such as Seeker of Wisdom, Legendary Survivor, Grandmaster Treasure Hunter and so on.
After getting all this titles, the player would be able to get this extra skill slot.
I don't know if this idea is new or not, anyway I am interested in your feedback guys. What do you think about this?

um... unbalanced. Especially in pvp, but in pve as well.

Thats not a good idea and no one will agree with you because its the ultimate imbalance.
The only way it will work if every one will have 8 slots plus a rez slot.

Terrible idea. PvE and PvP are balanced around eight skills, forcing you to make tough choices in build design. Additional skill slots (because you know people wouldn't stop clamoring at nine) are a great way to unbalance the game.

I do agree on that i hate having to take the res sign or rebirth ect in the skillbar sometimes, but my build still works. Just skip it if you don't want it. And the 8 slots are just enough as it is now and allways been, and allways will be.
1 more slot would unbalance it.
And sutch things like SS or a 55hp monk would get 1 more skill to do more dmg/heal with ect is just insane.
Or like this, Limit the 9th slot to a res sign just seems so useless. what if you don't wanna have it there and don't need it while soloing or farming!? ok it just sits there, but taking up space.

Gor Peace. No. Idea bad.
And I don't get with what you mean with "I started 1 year ago". Does it matter for this bad idea?

Look, why not ask for 200 extra hit points, or something, lol?
The 8 skill slot bar limit is SACROSANCT...the holy of holies. The whole Guild Wars Universe is centered around your skill bar.
If not 8,then 9, or maybe 10...hmm... If you're going to ditch a game principle, may as well go all the way.
Hell, let's have 40 plus! OMG, we're playing WoW!
Really, it is asking too much. And doubly so, because you are asking for it to be a titled advantage.
Also, I know forum search sucks, but a variation of this thread was up last week, but that OP thought the 8 slot skill bar...was a design flaw/oversight. o.O

Imagine the horror of one extra slot. The game would be ruined.
You obviously haven't PvPed to understand true balance to the game. The game has been modified since day 1 around the fact you have 8 slots for your skills. This number changed the power of various skills. If you could only have 4 slots, damage numbers would increase, or vice versa if there are more skills, power would decrease and become seemingly pointless.

No offence but, you say you have played it for 1 year and you still take up this tested idea with 9 slots on the forums that you know is a dead try. I don't get that.
Builds would be broken with this 9 slots, especially PvP and even the gaming itselfe.
You asked for our thoughts, and here they are. You MUST be able to handle and expect critics.

my biggest grip is how to carry a pet you have to use two slots up. Would make alot more sense to combine charm animal and comfort animal into one. and if you add any pet attack..well thats a third slot. just bout everyone carries a rezz so that takes the 4th leaving ony 4 slots to equip an elite, attack skills or rituals. No other profession is handicapped in ths way.
Its one thing to chain skills to create an effect but there is absolutely no reason for comfort and charm to be on the bar at the same time. Either combine them or make Charm an single use item like the health buff (drake kaboobs, etc) adn everytime you wanna change pets you gotta turn the pet in and buy another single use charm.
ok my montly rant on the absudity of two slots required to carry a pet is over for november

well, since one of these threads is created and shot down about every month, if you searched you still would have found quite a few threads on this:

Ruby,only if that 1 skill-is-all-your-pet-needs is elite.
Ruby Lightheart
what i would like to see is the Charm Animal and Comfort animal skills combined in to one. There really is no reason for them to be separate other than to handicap rangers out of a slot
Yanman.be
It would overpower pets.

Speaking of beating a dead horse, the OP has taken note of the unpopularity of the notion and given up on the idea a number of posts back. The links to other threads for reference is fine, but the rest is really unnecessary.
