I think the op is trying to compile a list for name gen purposes i think.

I'm thinking that Thallandor and floppinghog are correct on this one.

I remember seeing a browser based program somewhere that will generate a random fantasy/medieval type name.

I bet a hundred bucks someone here can find it.(that's a hundred imaginary bucks fyi)

P.S. I think it's a great idea. When selecting a new character, I usually wiz past every screen until the name creation screen. Then my wife and I are on both of our computers, searching for a good name.

Thorin Oakenshield = Dwarvern King from The Hobbit.

And yes, for most of us to make names we'd need to know the new Professions. I do.

I can do first names without any guidance, but i find Surnames more difficult.

For example, my current main, Desythris Barrows is necromancer, Barrows being a tomb. Tomb being a place of dead people, dead = necro.
Not hard to figure out.

looks like a waste of time to me.. how long do you guys think of your chars names, i come up with mine when i make them and they still rule

The name I came up with for my Paragon was "Melisizwe Otieno".

"Melisizwe" is African Xhosa for "leader of the nation"

and "Otieno" is Africian Luo for "born at night"

well if you think its easy looking at names good for you not everyone has that talent and thats why im posting this and even if you have the talent some people just are curious about what names Im putting down.
