"Master of Magic".. the aoe replacement for the zealots smiter?

Havent seen this discussed anywere so i thought i would throw this out there for comments.

Bottom line is an e/mo runnin "master of magic" at 12 energy storage (breakpoint for 2 energy return) can smite off an ally pretty much like the pre nerf AOE monks.

To test this i rolled up the following e/mo

12 energy storage
12 smiting

20% enchant mod

draw conditions (to trigger zealots)
reversal (to trigger zealots)
smite hex
judges insight
balth aura
Zelots fire
Master of magic
res/whatever

I could SPAM every skill as soon as it recharged indefinetly with 0 pause in between cast simply never ending chain casting. Master of magic providing a net 2 or 4 energy gain on every draw/reversal cast

Is there any potential to this?

there seems be that there's no way for energy to return after you get drained below 50

I like this idea. If you get 3 recharging spells then do you get 6 energy? If so that would be great.

I presume 1 recharging is always Master of Magic, then at least 1 smiting spell. The only downside is MoM only lasts 24 seconds so you have 6 seconds of downtime.

I've been running this for about a week now, it's freaking nuts in PvE, though it has some difinate weaknesses.

1. mobs that have enchant removal completley ruin the build
2. not much utility (more of a PvP problem)

This build basicly plays like the old school ether renewal smiter more than an AoE monk. I would say it's definatly not as strong as that one either, but it is strong in it's own right.

As for the 6 second down time, it really doesn't matter, you're an ele, and you have full energy when it ends, thats 6 seconds of living of a (minimum) 71 energy pool. Not too hard.

Neat thing: Master of Magic counts res sig/sunspear rebirth sig as recharging if it's been used.

Unless, its only those spells which do share the attribute of energy storage but not MoM itself.
