So yeah i took my level 20 to Kamadan and went outside and got my heroes then i beat up the other 2 and this time i chose soursuck. BUTTTTTT i just realised i don't have him available for selection. Or jin, just in case i picked her by accident. Or is it another case of me not paying atention and i shouldn't have one of them yet?

Try going into the Sun Docks pve area. There should be an npc with a ! above his head with Jin and Souske standing nearby. You can pick one of those two then.
