Weird ele Rune

Hi.

Got this by salvaging my Elementalist Armor.
The rune trader refused to accept it.
1) Why?
2) Is it worth anything? (probably not but you never know)

Not sure why the rune trader refused to buy it because that is a normal Rune of Major Fire Majic. Must be a bug. I haven't had any problems like that selling myrunes so I can't tell you why you would have any.

Oops just remembered the update to the runes sry about that. Thanks Geekling for hitting me in the head on that one.

It's an old one. Pre the June 2006 update when they changed the major runes from -50 health to -35.

And no it can not be sold to the trader.

Don't know if they have a collector value for being old outdated items, some do collect such things so you never know.

If you don't plan to use it, you can try the regular merchant who usually buys it for 25 gold. If the rune trader will only buy it for 10 gold (or refuses to buy it) you can go to the regular merch. 25 gold isn't much but it's better than nothing, especially if you plan to ditch the rune anyway

He might want to upgrade to a new major rune to save 15 hp.

Hes IDd it though, so wouldnt it merch for 80g, like in the pic?

Runes and upgrade comps usually go for 25 g, dunno why it's more there

I'm quite certain, not 100%, but quite certain. That it is because this is an old pre-rune trader rune. I think the 25 gold across the board price was implemented when the rune trader and the variable depending on demand price was.
