I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I think it would be schweet if
an upcoming exspansion would include a Dark elf/rouge type proffesion. Some of
the obvious skills would be "Stealth" & "Backstab."

Does anyone else think this would be a cool class to add?

Canada...... Eh!

I would love it if they put a thief like class in. Personally thief is my favorite class. And the ability to sneak up to a critter and backstab it would be super cool. The downside of that would of course be when his 5 charr buddies notice you and charge and u die. Just like in D&D. But, I'll keep my fingers crossed in hoping that they put thief class in.

yes i think so too. My friend was very disappointed that there is no assassin/thief class and that is one of the main reasons why he didnt buy the game. It would be cool to be able to sneak up on an enemy undetected, and backstab him.

Stealth
15e, 3sec casting time, 60sec cooldown.
For 15 seconds, reduce the aggro circles of all allies by 40%-80%.

Apparently you don't know too much about ninjas. I suggest you take back that last statement and explain what you expect, because my historical interpretation is probably much different than the impression you gained from your modern media or Naruto.

Dwarfes, I love Dwarfes. But dwarfs and warriors are both melee-fighters, how can they differ from each other? In the add-On to Sacred dwarfes have got technical skills, which are used for weapons like pistols and guns. That might be the conclusion for an interesting, new melee-char (something between warrior and rannger).

P.S.: An asiatic class would also be a fine thing. There's already these guild hall with an asiatic look.

An Assassin would work, though perhaps more of a dark fighter kind of thing. Uses alot of opening skills, that is ripostes, interrupts, so forth, with abilities such as throw dirt of the Ranger (perhaps longer duration, single target Blind). Stealth just doesn't seem to fit in here, and what this would be is a person to shut other classes down one on one in close range, mageslayers, blademasters, and vanguards essentially. But their armor would be weak, and abilities severely limited unless they are prepared for specific situations. Plus, make them an adrenaline class as well for a few abilities, it is a nice system, and few others use anything special, so give it another shot.

Attributes would be like Openings, where they rely on say a person casting a spell in melee range, interrupt with dazed and extra damage, or an attack which is riposted and can cause bleeding, blind, weakness, deep wounds, so on. Then have Assassination where they apply poisons, some really long ones, others which cause conditions at the end, some more powerful attacks that have them, a few from stealth (out of combat, just like being able to gain health regeneration). Dirty Fighting where they can use distractions such as blindings, simpler interrupts, knockdowns, etc., I think the "Unnamed" would warrant an expansion on current conditions, like fumbling for attempts to trying to shoot arrows which may make them go off course 25% of the time, enhanced casting times on spells. Oh and I just thought of something, shouts, make them able to silence characters after they attempt to use shouts, maybe even add a few spells with voice components (sort of drawing from D&D) where this would interrupt those, but they could be far and few. And a few poison based conditions, like Poison : Weakness (target deals slightly less damage) Poison : Crippled (target moves slightly slower) that could be removed through simple heals and things.

Like I said, would be that kind of guy no one wants to face 1v1 but a second person could end their life.

Please though, no cultural classes, ninja's everyone has their own opinion on, and since it is game, none of them are wrong or right, and it is an odd thing to simply take from in a game with classes that are meant to be a wide array.

No, I'm sure his impressions are accurate and up to date. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a ninja? Check out this page on ninjas!

If they put in ninjas this game will officially have jumped the shark. A class with the ability to stealth might be fun (though possibly abusive in many cases - getting by opponents without fighting them is sort of anti-action RPG) but since this and every other conceivable class idea has been suggested at some point let's drop it and let the devs decide.

And if I see the word rogue spelled rouge one more time I am going to scream.

Terrible. Do I have to remind you that all classes in this game must be balanced for the possibilities of combining them with other classes?

I'm very much against the stealth idea. There's no good way to balance stealth, ever. Everyone wants to be special, your class shouldn't define that.

I was thinking about Final Fantasy Tactics this morning. They have a class called "Dragoon". It's a type of fighter class that is something like a bruiser but not entirely close range. It's based off a "love for dragons" in a sense. Spells are centered on dragon abilities such as a breath weapon (triangular area of effect from user) and are primarily offensive. Main weapons are spears and other "longer" weapons and some spells enchant the weapons. One attack is "jump" in which the dragoon flys up over the target and drops onto it with spear down. Could be a nice addition.

Check my idea for Marauder, all this and more http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=9843

As for new races? Well... I dont think this world has drow. It might, not sure. But requests should be made while keeping in mind what the game has in its environment x3
