This is a PvE build, designed to take advantage of ritaulists channeling spells for damage, combined with the elementalists large energy pool. Communing is used to bring out the full potential of of certain channeling skills. Any constructive criticism to help improving this build would be nice.

This is used to shorten the recharge time of spells.

first of all, you need 8 skills, not 6.
second, I don't like the idea of being ele primary for this. IMO you should be a Rit so you can pump those 4 extra points into channeling, and possibly 1 into communing. Basicly you are faced with having a bit more stamina when it comes to using your skills (energy storage), or extra damage (extra channeling). My pick is the damage.

Typically people only use 7 skills. 1 is commonly for a res. And to be honest I couldn't think of a 7th skill. As far as profession choice goes, I don't just choose a profession for its skill line. Ritualists haven't got any armor that I like. And elementalist was my original choice for this build because it had flexible amounts of energy that I could use.

When you are designing a build, your first concern should be performance, not asthetics. Even if you don't like any of the rit armor, that doesn't matter when we're talking about a build. Performance is performance no matter how ugly you look. Also, a res sig isn't always standard. Maybe you don't plan to use one so you can fit an 8th skill. Maybe you want flesh of my flesh. I don't know. It really doesn't matter much, but it's still there. List all 8 skills when posting a build, or at least say 'I'm not sure what I want there, any suggestions?'
So, if you don't choose a profession for it's skill line, why do you choose one?
As for the energy part, I covered that already. Damage output > more Energy IMO

go rit primary, get attuned was songkai for pro energy management, and just use a lot of 20/20 stuff to speed up the recharge.

There's no energy management at all, unless you want to include it in the two skills that you left out, and the only two choices that would be non-elite would be Essence Strike or Spirit Siphon which needs at least one spirit to work, so it would be impossible, unless you also take out the Ressurection Signet. Also, with only 3 Energy Storage, thats only 9 more energy points, not enough to last a whole battle, 21 energy points if you want to use a Energy Storage Headpiece along with a Superior Rune of Energy Storage. Renewing Surge only does a measly 51 damage at 12 Channeling, where as an Elementalist, you can use Flare at 16 Fire Magic for 57 damage, or Lightning Strike for 53 damage at 16 Air Magic with Armor Penetration. A Ritualist Primary would be alot more effective using this build rather than an Elementalist. You can be spiking your heart out with this build, but along with the quick recharges, you'll be running out of energy pretty quickly.
