Trading in Guild Wars

I love Guild Wars but i have to say the trade is the worst ever, cant we suggest that we have a trade like in Knights online or a auction house like in world of warcraft.

being able to put up a stand with set prices and then being able to go and wallpaper the living room while people view and buy your items is the way to go or to have a auction house that you are able to put up items and then people can buy your items evan when you are offline is awsome.

Standing in one place spamming trade or local chat with sale pitch is boring, I would rather put item up for sale and then go off and play the game.

There has to be at least a dozen topics about this. Find one of the big ones, and add your support to it rather than starting another topic about it. Sorry, I want one too, but we don't need any more repeat topics.

But they've dried up. This is obviously a subject we all want changing so it's should be brought up until we get an answer either way from Anet. Trade in GW is shite.

ingame player storeS? i kno it might be tooo spamable but im sure there will be ways to get by it so it doesnt turn out to be like roseon whre ud go into a city and find billions of player stores.

perhaps say xxxx amount of stores per district?

No I doubt it will happen. There are soooo many reasons why I think it wont happen.

Personally, I enjoy the haggling. Yes, I may be in the minority, but I'm being a realist. I have been to some places in the world (Jamaica and Mexico) where there were NOT set prices. You didn't find a tag with a marked price. You asked how much they wanted for it and go from there. I have bought plenty of gifts in Mexico this way.

It's just how some of the world really is away from the States.

This site has an auction section with in-game payment. I've used it and it is great to post your item and go play the game. The site emails you when anything happens.

There are also buy/sell forums in the Ventari's section.

GW is against AFK and offline play. If you want to do something, log in and do it.

This is partly due to no subscription. Allowing offline trading would enable players with multiple, even dozens of accounts (there are quite a few power traders like that) to flood the market.

Offline gameplay also contributes nothing to overall dynamics. People would log in, put their loot on auctions, and log out for the day. Add to that multiple accounts, and you get a shadow powertrading economy completely out of reach of common player. Not to mention the bot traders.

Auction house has been asked since launch. There are plenty good reasons why it's still not in game. Annoyance? Possibly. But alternatives could be much worse.
