Rangers' Appearance

I am almost a level 10 ranger now. So far I have only seen 1 person with the same appearance as me. The only thing I have done in terms of armour so far is upgrade each piece, which doesn't change the look of it. How come almost every other ranger looks different to me? I know there is obsidian armour, but are there any other types? A link to somewhere about this would be nice.
