I can't figure out why when I play certain files I get these wierd inverted colours. Is it just a video card setting or something?

Some video files on my computer will do this when I use window's media player but when I use my dvd program to open the file it plays normal.

Anyone have a solution? I'm clueless and it's probaby something simple to solve it. Thanks.

Sometimes a bad file can cause that r even not having the right codec's for the certian video that you are trying to play. I get it on occasion and just finding the codec for the cure can be a big headache as there s no error report made to tell you what is th problem.

Codec corrupt or missing. your pc is trying to compensate for the missing or damaged codec. Try resinstalling/getting the damaged/missing codecs for that file type and then retrying.

For video files, I use VLC Media Player. Works like a charm with almost every file type.
