So I just went to login to my other account, and my password is wrong... so I restart game because I have had this glitch before. NOTHING. Still doesn't work. I havent changed my account settings ever. My friend gave me this PLAYNC account after he quit guildwars because he hated the game... I know that is a direct violation of the EULA, but I even told ANET the situation... my friend hates Guild Wars, and he is a good friend. He hasn't logged into the plaync account, but he is in Iraq atm... WTF... how did this happen? I have never given my login info to anyone.. how can this be??? Code 11.... I am gonna cry... 400 ecto, FoW armor, 7 sets of 15k, 1030 hrs logged, 2ndary account..... all gone...... O...M....G... help me....

It could have been a key logger, or someone may have managed to guess your email/password. Regardless, you have my sympathy which is all I can really offer at this point.
Contact A.Net, you should still have the product CD key right? Or access to the PlayNC account from which it's linked to?

ANd no, it isnt a keylogger. My other account would also be hacked. So nope, not that issue. I have downloaded nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing pertaining to Guild Wars. I don't get this. No one even knows the login name except me and my friend Pat, and especially not the password....

I once had to change the email address on my account, and when I did so, the original email got a message about it that said something like "Someone changed the email, confirm here". At any time, did you change your user email address on the account? Or, do you have access to the email address that was on the account when you were last able to log on? It should not have changed that email for a couple weeks if I remember right.

Shadow Warrior Five or Govannon Syphideous or Countess Corvinas to your friends list. If you see this account login, act casual and ask the person how they are doing. Well, what I meant was the username when you log into Guild Wars being an email address. If your friend gave you the account, then you could change that with the "Change Email" option. So, if you clicked on the "Lost Password" option, it should send it to the email address that doubles as your Guild Wars Username at login.

^Actually he couldn't change that with the "change email" option. Once your GW game account is connected to a plaync master account, you can't change the account name/email. And it was already connected to one when he got it.

Its a direct plaync account, not an email bound account. Pat was a noob for doing that in the first place.

I have never given out ANY login info, not even to my best friend/roomate who plays Guild Wars with me. Actually, I have never even told anyone my 2nd account (the hacked one)'s login name.... I just dont get this....
Oh, and I am computer engineer, I know about security software. I have a hardware firewall and port blocks out the butt. So, please don't start with that BS, I have more security then some government agencies....

No, I don't deserve to be hacked. After all the fun games and events for the community I have hosted, after giving out so much gold and help in the game, free runs, community work, etc, I don't deserve anything but praise... I have had my bad moments, but nothing deserving of having my account hacked. That was a cold statement, and you should be ashamed to post such rot... get out of here you evil human being.

Also, just a general note Rahja: I can understand that you're upset about this (I'd be devistated) but lashing out at idiot posters isn't going to help you and could just get you in trouble. Calm down, and understand that there is precious little that we can do to help you regardless.
