This Price Guide serves as a guideline to how much the average price most people are buying/selling for and does not mean everyone have to follow the prices here strictly.

Prices are based solely on the skin and req of the weapons and mods prices are not taken into account. And also the prices here are for gold items. Purple items have to be price checked on a case by case basis. Feel free to add onto the list any weapons you think are popular/rare and i will try my best to update it.

I've had a req 9 NF dragons breath I've tried selling in various places and it is 20% casting 20% recharge and no one has offered over 75k... I think 80-100k is too high

as for ghostlies... most req 9's sell for at least 100k... some well over...

req 9 fire 150-250k+
req 9 death 150k+
req 9 blood 100k+

those are prices I've seen/sold a few at...

Some of these are collector or crafter, The Shield of the lion for example, Now correct me if I'm wrong but how can something you can buy for 5k from a crafter or exchange 5 hexet tounges for be Rare?

Yeah you can get Gold ones but come on be serious, I saw someone trying to sell a shield of the lion in kamadan for 45k, rubbish mods on it. You can get one with +30 health and -5 dmg 20% chance in the command centre for 5k plus materials. Suntouched spears also I'm sure can be gained from colectors etc.

The more intelligent player knows these lists are only guides, but some people think that if it's on guru its gospel truth, now I know no one here can help that but if your making a list not checking crafters/collectors then people are going to be ripped off.

the 80k is for unwated attribs , the realy unpopular ones eg. Smiting 80k-110
Healing 150-220.

Read my post, I never said anything about "healing prayers". I know quite well that they are fire req only. You should know that without having to look being that you've seen them sell so often. NF = Nightfall. As for ghostlies, most req 9's I've sold went for well over 100k. That's all I was saying.

As to your comment Mac Giolla Padraig, this issue has been discussed many many times. Yes there are crafters weapons, but people are still willing to pay more for gold. Not so much because they are inscribable, but mostly just because they are GOLD. Thats how GW has been working since the start. Its not me who decide that, its 99.9999% of people in GW. (ok i exaggerated the amount)

Bought a req 12 gold max dead sword for 70k on gwg auction.

Sold req 9 Adamantine Falchion (Fiery of Enchanting, 19%, worthless inscription).
Initially asked 80k, offered 50k, got 60k after some haggling in Kodash Bazaar

I have to agree. I've sold 2 now for 75k, and that was pulling teeth.

Also, sold NF req. 9 divine aureate lamp 22,500. (My opinion, those need to be on caster rare list.)

My info might a bit outdated but a good reference nevertheless.

People pay more for rarity. There is no ifs and buts here, its a fact set in stone. Why should something be worth barely anything just because there is a collectors/crafters equivalent.

Spiky War Hammers (inscribable versions exist)
Kournan Defender (comes in strength for sure, I have a pending bid for 60k on my r9 str 30/5/20)
Sea Purse Shield (comes in tactics for sure)
Tribal Shield for Paragons (different skin than for warriors)
Goldleaf Defender for paragons (see A LOT fewer of these than the Aureate Aegis. I have one in command. Don't know if they drop as motivation, too.)

Gothic swords and serpent axes are dropping in inscribable versions now.

Ok, here's the caster stuff I can think of that seems very popular or at least semi-rare. Some of it may not be worth the trouble to list because of very low demand/price.

Dead Scepters (soul reaping Necro wand, haven't seen but a couple, not too popular)
Spiral Rods (curses Necro wands, haven't seen many of these either)
Bone Spiral Rods (death Necro wands, supposed to be VERY rare and desired by MM's)
Wailing Staves (death necro staff)
Boneclaw Staff (another death necro staff)
Pyrewood Staves (fire magic staff, think it's a semi to fairly rare skin)
Dead Staves (troublesome because they come in many different reqs for different caster classes, but it's the same skin that was very expensive pre-NF b/c they only dropped from undead.)
Holy Rods (the gold ones aren't exactly rare, but in demand b/c unlike the collector holy rods, the gold ones can be dyed.)
Divine Staves (both in DF and healing reqs, haven't seen a prot req one yet. I think healing is more rare than DF req.)
Portal Staves (already up, but they come with different damage types, fire, earth, cold, lightning. I've seen people looking for a specific damage type. Someone wtb a fire dmg one for 50k)
Voltaic Wands, energy storage reqs, seems at least semi rare
Crystal Wands, I only know of inspiration reqs, seem pretty rare
Metal/Canthan head water staves, too
"talon" or "claw" grim cestas (death req offhand for necros, I have a req 9 with 20/20 mods on it. The high bid is 100k right now, but I think that's somewhat of a fluke with a few MM's fighting over it. Target is probably 50-70k.)
"medusa" skin accursed icons (curses req offhand for necros)
"knife" skin blood idols (blood req offhand for necros)
spined focus (blood req offhand for necros)
skull brush (curses req offhand for necros)
Wooden Chakrams (mesmer offhand, illusion for sure, maybe domination, too)
Stone Chakrams (mesmer offhand, domination or illusion)
Writing Focus (rit offhand, not sure what req)

Scepters of the Forgotten (ok, it seems like there's a lot of these, but I think that's because they come in many different requirements for all the caster classes. I'd say reasonably rare.

Sold (all i can think of, way more than this but these come to mind recently):

req10 Dual Winged Axe 24k (responded to wtb)
req12 purple fellblade 15k - very fast

req9 iridescent prism, crapmods, 15k (a bit low but i had extras)
req11 orrian earth staff 25k - very fast (wanted to get rid of it)
req8 non max aureate lamp 5k (guy knew it was non max, go figure, +10e)
req9 holy rod (20%hsr, 5e) 70k *non inscribable, this was divine rod with HSR 20% prot, and since we can't make that in NF (Anet: we need wand wrappings of attributes) this'd raise the price. Plus the guy was desperate for an item to match his holy vial... so imo special case... or maybe not . this IS the perfect boon prot wand).
r10 scrying glass staff - 15k (responded to wtb, wanted to clear inventory, can go higher, nice skin)

req12 Fiery Blade axe 35k (~30min wts) crap mods


MODS COUNT A LOT. The myth that they don't is wrong (well duh it's a myth ). For items that are semi rare to common, mods are 80% of the value. For items that are fairly rare mods count less, but drop the price ~10% or so. For many caster items, even rare caster skins, the mods are worth 50% or more of the item (Forget me Not, HCT20%x2 combos). For items that are rare (~100kish) you will get lazy buyers not wanting to search for the mods to make the item perfect and they will only touch the item if it's perfect, whatever that definition of perfect may be (which can be tough for casters ). Lazy buyers are really common if you advertise "rare skins" - so slap some sort of perfect mod on it somewhere and at the very least a 15>50 or +5 energy inscrip. Only on super high end 'I got a r9 runic blade in HoH' do mods not matter.

kobey: My comments on Cr3ator's prices (most are good, some are way off imo)

Portal staffs: are more common than that price indicates - I haven't seen any go above 50k, with nice mods, and that was a fire damage one.
Jeweled staffs: also disagree with the 50-80k price range, but not hugely. I have not had any takers on a r9 one at 60k at all, so <60k at the very least. I would say 40-45k or so with nice mods.
Divine symbols: p/c should be a bit higher (40-60k perhaps, or 40-50k, definitely high end range of the one listed)
rest of the prices are fairly good.

Additions to rare caster for sure:

Eternal flame wands - unsure of sell price, they're rarer than holy rods by a bunch, but I've only bought these for what i considered a good price (20k for r9)
Aureate lamp - 60k+ r9s with good mods, demand fluctuates but it's the most popular monk offhand atm (hot +++) (everyone having a blessed chalice & holy vial already who wants one).

Thats a whole load of info you gathered LicensedLuny. How long did you spent? Thanks alot. I have added kournan defender and sea purse shield into the list, and got the prices from doing a search through guru. Added a couple of casters item in too.

Hmmm hope this do not spark off another mods do or do not add price arguement. Adding on to scyfer comment, I do feel that mods adds to the price if and only if, the buyer wishes to have that mod. You don't expect me to pay another 50k for a sundering and fortitude mod if i am going to remod it to vamp and defense, right?

And with that said, if you mod the item yourself, you are limiting yourself to a smaller potential market. Instead of opening your item to WTB Flamberge, you strink your market to WTB sundering flamerge of Fortitude. Hope i don't confuse anyone, hehe

Oh yeah, I agree that the 20/20 +30hp "perfect" trend is ridiculous and expecting 50k extra for that is as well, but what I meant is this: having no mods on an item lowers the value quite a bit, compared to having almost any max mod on any item. Imo this is true more for caster items, where most classes have certain preference that they'd almost always like to see over any other (eles = HCT mods + whatever else, monks = energy, HSR and then health mods, necros: 20/20s usually, maybe att +1 20%, ritualists = energy and then health). I'd be hardpressed to find a ritualist jumping for joy at HCT mods at all for example on a spawning staff or a necro desiring a 10/10 on a death wand. So those prices -for caster items- that were quoted imo include having at least something class + item appropriate on the item. (I guess my comment was 80% geared at caster items, maybe a big difference between caster + non caster items).

Sorry about the slight off topic, but I figured maybe this would help people reading this & wondering at the caster prices quoted. There are a lot fewer ideal options on caster items than on say, swords, because there are a lot more attributes to worry about & fairly broad trends that certain classes and/or skills in various attributes (or things that are plain useless - for example, the casting of spirits cannot be sped up by mods).

Apologises for my misinterpretation of what you meant. Thought you were talking about mods in general (and i kept thinking about melee weapons, hehe). Yeah, what you said about the casters mods do have a point. There is a certain preference of mods for certain casters i guess.

Yeah, I agree with adding the silly ... er, I mean the leet sundering mods and/or paying 20k+ for perfect fortitude mods is a waste in most every case where you intend to sell the item.

But the mods really do seem to count for shields and caster items, since the popular (some with good reason) mods for those are almost as much or more than the actual item itself. Not everyone WTB something is willing to invest more time WTB the mods for it later. Also, I'm concerned by a lot of the sellers I see just sure their crap-modded shield is worth 30k because this list says so ... when in fact, most people in the market either don't want it if it doesn't already have good mods or already know they'd have to spend another 15k-40k+ and a fair amount of time looking for mods they want to add.

If the prices come down pretty significantly for the +30 handles and the 20% forget me not's, etc., then yeah, mods won't matter again.

But for the time being, perhaps a better explanation would be something like, "don't expect to get your money back if you pay full price for mods you put on an item to sell. And consider that your item's value may be affected by mods if the popular mods for said item are more than 25% of the skin's base PC."

I don't know ... few people read the fine print anyway and most of the casters need low req on their staves for wanding things to death without spending too many points in their build's main attribute. Trading in Kamadan makes me even less likely to join PUGs. If I wanted to make serious money, I'd get into the low req, 15>50 wand market!

Oh, and it took me ... maybe an hour to read through my histories and write that post. Took me about 3 and half weeks of trading (from completely clueless as to what I was doing beyond the OP in the PC stickies to ... um, slightly less clueless about the things that seemed interesting to me along the way! Still, proudly, an ever-newb! Though I must admit, some of my characters have snatched up some pretty gold-texted, rare-skinned gear to replace their collector pieces ... the golds will need ~200k worth of mods to match collector stats, though. )
