What's next, after defeat of Abbadon?

Come to think of it, the three chapters of GW so far are really similar to one another.

Chapter 1: Defeat Vizier, servant of Abbadon.
Chapter 2: Defeat the Shiro guy, servant of Abbadon.
Chapter 3: Defeat Varesh, servant of Abbadon.

Despite all the twists and turns each chapter had, ultimately we had to kill a boss that was serving Abbadon.

But in chapter 3, we went further than defeating yet another servant. We went and defeated for good Abbadon himself, replacing him with the Goddess of Truth.

Which makes me think that:

1. Nightfall has a higher lore scope than previous chapters. We did more than save just a continent. We did more than defeat a single minion. We made the whole universe of Guild Wars safe from Abbadon, which was ultimately , directly or indirectly, behind every major evil we've seen thru the game (from the Charr invasion to the Emperor's assasination, to the Sunspear massacre and Nightfall, etc). By slaying the God of Secrets himself, once and for all, we preclude any more malice coming from him as a source in the future.

2. What will the next chapter focus at? There cannot be another boss like the Vizier or Shiro or Varesh. The next chapter cannot feel like yet another Vizier:Reloaded. Because the source of evil behind all 3 past bosses is now destroyed; furthermore, there seem to be no more villains on the scale of being gods. With Abbadon destroyed, I would find it very unlikely that any of the remaining five 'old gods' would turn against their creation, as it would disrupt just too many lore elements. So who could be the next major villain, whether we fight himself or another minion like the Vizier?

We could of course fight lesser gods such as the UW villain Dhuum or Fow villain Menzies, but they simply don't seem to have the power and influence of Abbaddon to be such a major threat.

Perhaps the next chapter will focus on the Great Dwarf, and his counterpart, the Great Destroyer? The rank of these gods is not easily verifiable; they are not the 'old gods' that we know, but we don't have verifiable information about them being inferior either, and the connection between the two GDs and the old gods has not been established to any large degree. For all I know, we could face another major player in the Rift.

k interesting opinion but i will say something i have said before as we know even in real world all religions have connections between them as an example in korani(mouslims)there are references to jesus.In my opinion the same thing happens to guild wars great dwarf mighty be a hero or even althazar i mean look at him his clothes he looks like a norse god and he may van take multiply forms now about grewat destroyer if you search a bit you will find out that abaddon means great destroyer so he may be the evil dwarven god.Xi's name is Shiro Tagachi.

Now about gw4 as we know in greek mythology before the gods titans ruled over the world all over across tyria there are huge bonus(even in uw) that means huge creatures exist thousand of years ago(see manual for giaganticus lupicus that walked earth 10000 years ago)now my theory is that menzies and dhuum will try to awake the titans or their distant relatives(they will be huge too)and they will try to take over the world,or grenth or another god will ally with menzies to release the titans as well.Thats my opinion

Xi is called Shiro.
The Vizier supposedly slayed the charr army when he blew up Orr, yet after we defeated the Lich, we had to fight Charr (Last Day Dawns, The Titan Source). This means the Charr aren't defeated yet, so my bet for Ch4 goes to Charr and the Northlands.

Probs about North lands + Great Destroyer coming back from the the Under-Furnace or whatever the dwarves lore is about.

Probably a long time after Nightfall, when Ascalon has made peace with some of the Charr and then the new feature in CH4 will be New races blah blah blah... etc...

i dont think we will see new races in ch 4 maybe in guild wars 2 yes but in chapter 4 i dont think so i hope we will see castle sieges

ok lets say you can corrupt him who will try to do that? menzies? or dhuum or a mortal.If corruption is a possibility here's my theory grenth or lyssa(dont ask why)will ally with menzies or dhuum or even both and they will try to release the giants(see giganticus lupicus) to destroy the gods and the world

They'll probably save Dhuum and Menzies for something else, something more final, like chapter 3 was for the other chapters. I dunno what they can do for story that can be as..fulfilling as fighting a god. Defeating Abaddon was fairly epic if you think about it; he was behind most of the major events taking place in the GW story, and now he's gone. Dhuum and Menzies aren't really as high caliber. I assume they'll take the level of events down, start off with something small and build up agian to a grander story arc. They could always go toward the direct of the Charr, and I don't think the Mursaat were ever fully explained.

ya the next chapter has nothing to do with chap 1-3 there are many signs why it wouldent be connected to the storyline but we might have people from the 3 games in it.I also dont think there will be one main boss in this game maybe 3 5 heck even 6.....but until we find more hints in the game we wont know for awhile

My bet goes to the area north of Giant's Basin and those things, since it is also mentioned in the prophecies guide.

the creatures to the north are reptiles such as dragons and things close to Hydra and some mammals including giants and maybe charr Right now if you look in the time line of the nightfall manual the last date sais humans are entering north of tyria so something is happening in there right now weathier its trade or something bad about to happen....

As for the Mursaat...

Who else thinks that the Mursaat and the Margonites are one and the same?

- They look bloody similar
- Mursaat served the Lich, or he at least used them to gain his aims. Margonites serve Abbadon, the Lich's master.
- Mursaat are referred to as an immortal powerful race with godlike capabilities, which the Margonites, of course, are.

Perhaps Abbadon lended some margonites to the Lich when the Lich was in Tyria, and those Margonites which were sent from the Realm of Torment to Tyria became known as the Mursaat.

In Chapter 4 we are going to learn more about what and who are the Seers and how and why there is this feud between them and the Mursaat. The story is going to be about the humans helping the Seer ultimately defeat the Mursaat at their secret location a city deep inside the Maguuma Jungle. As the humans defeat the the Mursaat, the Seers will betray the humans in their attempt to fulfill their own agenda of taking over and ruling all of Tyria. The Seers desire is to transform Tyria into their distant home world since their native home is being depleted of its natural resources so the Seers must find a new place to call home and Tyria is the perfect place.

As you are aware of the strange looking portal in a cave at the very north of Mineral Springs. This is the portal that few of the Seers used to come to Tyria. The Seers is a very powerful race and cannot be defeated solely by a single race. In Chapter 4, we will also learn more about the Charr. As more of the Seers arrive to Tyria. They begin to mobilize their army and first attacking and driving the Krytans out of Maguuma Jungle. Pushing them eastward to the Shiverpeaks and Old Ascalon. The Seers next target is to march forward into the Northern areas. The homeland of the Charr. As the Charr are being slaughtered, their leader urgently pleads to the human race to help them.

As the three races understand what's at stake. It's at the best judgement to form an alliance, even if it means that one of the allies is the enemy; the Charr. The humans, Charr, and Dwarves form an alliance. Their goal is to push the Seers back and wipe them out of Tyria.

Chapter 4 will contain many alien form creatures that the Seers bring from their home world. Corrupting the land around them. Making the appearance of the physical land with an uncanny resemblance to their home world. New henchmen npcs consisting of Charr and Dwarves to help the heroes of Tyria in the fight against the Seers. Glint makes an appearance in Chapter 4. She plays a big role in Chapter 4. Dragons will also be in Chapter 4. Ally or foe is yet to be seen. Heroes of Tyria will venture into the Northern areas and Lost cities of the Unseen Ones deep within Maguuma Jungle.

Will this be the end of the human race on Tyria or will the humans prevail and defeat this alien invader? Will the gods of Tyria aid in the fight against these alien invaders? Everything is at stake. The fight between the Seers and humans will be an epic battle. Who will emerge victorious?

nope you are totaly wrong m8 mursaat were protecting the door of komalie so the lich or any one else that wanted to open it would fail they were protectors of the world we were the "bad guys" there untill we found out lich's plan and margonites dont look like mursaats mursaats look a bit like seers but i dont think they are from the same race maybe distant relatives yes but not from the same race

nah i dont think so but its a very good theory man well done /clap we might see a theory like this in feauter but its more possible to see dwarves and vikings and some gigantic monsters in ch4 but no one knows

The Mursaat wanted to prevent the release of the titans at all costs. The titans belonged to Abaddon himself (Chapter 3 provided this insight). It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to have the Mursaat trying to hinder their own master. The Mursaat were opposed to Abaddon, or at least the titans, and anyone trying to release them(Lich, you[albeit accidently]). They seem to be on a side of their own.
