How much harder would it be?
Issac
Ive seen pic of warriors who have become grandmaster cartographers and stuff but I haven't really seen it done with other characters with lower armor like mesmer, monks, necros etc. So how hard would it actually be to try to do runs on these types of characters?
Trakata
Actually most of the Grandmasters I see are Monks.
Also, most of the classes that can't run as effectively just hench it. My Mesmer almost has 100% in Elona, just by going through the areas. It actually doesn't take as long as it seems.

Mesmers and Monks can make great runners; I 've been ran round the Southern Shiverpeaks by a Me/A and a Mo/R.
Guildwiki has running builds for these characters:

Ive seen more monks with cartographers than warriors >.>
Any class can get them, you just have to fight your way around the map, or use a running build for that class (how ever hard that may be)

Also, it should be noted that running is a haphazard way to map, since there are lots of little edges and crap that you can miss using speed buffs.

Umm, if I decide to do a Cartography title, I usually start working on it as I'm questing. In other words, if you clear a map when you're there the first time around, it's done and over with. I realize that may be unceasingly boring for some people who feel a strong need to 'beat the game', but it's what works for me.
Btw, NF makes it really easy to map-as-you-go. I keep getting sidetracked while questing .

Monking it does give you a certain independence in some situations (such as running yourself if you're experienced, or healing the henchies for longer suvivability), but there is the downside in other areas. I'm almost at Master Cartographer, and I know its going to be a pain to finish off Dunes of Despair, as well as a few high end areas in the Ring of Fire(places where its a tad harder to hench)
Kakumei
I got Canthan GMC on my monk, and I'm working on Elonian. It's honestly not that hard, and I go out skillcapping at the same time to kill two birds with one rock.
Antheus
Elementalist here. Only Tyrian though.
vojnik
My necro has tryia and cantha... well on the way to getting elona.
Its pretty easy actually... then again I've never played warrior

Count to Potato
Caster Proffesion/Assasin just run with feigned neutrality and shadow form
Gun Pierson
Monk here, did Tyria and Cantha, working on Elona now. I take ranger as a secondary. Spellbreaker + ranger running skills do the job most of the time.
Kook~NBK~
I've got GM for both Tyria and Cantha on my Mesmer. I'm at about 80% for Elona. I don't bother running, I just take a Henchie crew and fight my way along. If I know what bosses I'll encounter, I'll switch secondaries if necessasry and take a cap signet with me. If I think about it, I'll take a key or two for opening chests along the way.
As far as how much harder it is to do, I can't say, I haven't tried running it with my Warrior.

Thats pretty cool yeah I was thinking about doing it on my new mesmer i made lol. Mesmers seem pretty cool to me now. So i was wondering if anyone could give me a good build for running jsut for the places i could run throught thx.
ScorpDeception63
Eh, i'm not really into the title, but i'd say the best way to get it, would be to start a new character and go through the game doing it, or if u already have one, just run across all the borders, tyria would take the longest, than probably elona, but cantha has all those little spots you have to go around the perimeter that would take a long time.
Spike
My Ele has 85% of Tyira. My Rit 95% of Cantha and My Paragon 95.5% of elona The hardest was doing tyira with my ele as in someplace I only got lvl 15 hench and lvl 22 badies Will go back with heros now

Feigned Neutrality
Dark Escape

Illu of Weakness
Shadow Refuge / whatever
MegaMouse
I am also a Tyrian Elementalist but I have grandmaster for Tyria and Cantha so far and I am currently at 91% of Elona mapped. Just got to go out and take your licks and even better have some very patient guild members who will help out. There are areas where you will die and that can be a major pain, but I think that other classes have a chance for this title with a little help.

I map/quest and farm sunspear points at the same time..takes a while to complete a quest but I've nearly hit level8 Sunspear on my necro and I've only mapped 35% of map.
lightblade
I've seen mesmer GMC...althought i'm not the one... T.T
Maria The Princess
im at 93% with my ranger.... i guess 1 day when im bored ill finish it
Sab
Getting GMC on a squishy isn't too hard, like any other class it just takes time. The thing is, in a lot of areas you have to fight your way through as running is too risky. In those cases, it doesn't matter what class you are.
The Last Anthem
well I know its possible for a necro, mine has it for cantha and 95.5 of elona that stupid remains of sahlahja or whatever challenge mission is making me want to strangle someone though I just take hench and run what I can fight what I have too
mcgoo
My Necro has just got GMC for Elona, and had previously got Cantha. I just fought my way through.

This account that I have now, is purely made for running.
It is a R/Mo, which I thought was the best running style, but I've been told otherwise =p

12 beats mastery
Run as one
Storm chaser
Dodge
Escape
Troll urgent
antidote signet
healing spring
Hope it helps and this build can work for any proffesion because it has nothing to do with your primary.
explodemyheart
I've gotten 99.4% in Factions and 94.3% in Nightfall (then I got lazy) on my monk. It was all done by henching and exploring, not just running it.
I'd rather kill stuff and get money an items while mapping. It takes longer, but I likes me moneys.

Lutricia Avendale
My Elementalist has 100% Of Tyria and 100% of Cantha explored. I'm working on Elona.
VGJustice
I'm still sitting at 98.3% Tyrian on my Ranger... I need to finish that some day >.<
