Do you think Realm of Torment too hard ?
LONGA
Yesterday i did a few side quest with my monk (Using smite/prot) at Nightfallen Jahai Buffs.
Demon mobs multiply when near dead ? OK i can live with that.
Global debuff ? Kinda hard but still managable.
Quest mobs mixed up with normal mobs.Have fun having 60 DPs =o=.
Nevertheless I still manage to clear the place up with help of Heroes Insight scrolls. But I'll never thead the place without good reason.
Maybe Dev. should make the area easier a bit by giving heroes/hench some Lightbringer status.Maybe 2 ranks behind yours rank.

I think Realm of Torment is fine regarding difficulty. It should not be made easier.
Antheus
No, it's fine.
Heroes not getting lightbringer is a hint. Group with players.
It's the same thing as henchies not being infused in certain areas with Mursaat.

The Realm of Torment difficulty is just fine. When I first got there I thought it was a bit insane and I tended to make mad dashes for portals instead of fighting constant deaths. But I wised up and now I can demolish almost any mob that gets in my way without much thought. The only things that make me think twice now are certain Masters quests and mobs with a ton of Rain of Terrors.
LONGA
Ah maybe with the primary quest but. what about those non-primary ones.
even with human players still kinda hard here.
And one thing I dont like about demon monster is when they multiply. The cloned one doesnt give you XP or count for promotion point.

You can clear it all with hench and heroes, so why would it be too hard?

I got enemy monster situation where he was fast enough to multiply but time to time lose some from those. So I was able to surf internet and heroes made me nice amount lightbringer points.

Its very hard actually. I can't imagine what someone without the previous 2 games must be goin through.
Craero
It's not hard at all as long as you call targets for concentrated fire. The only problems I've ever had is when one of the arm of insanitys uses troll ungent and lighting reflexes at 25% followed by call to torment. Easy enough to lightbringer gaze them for an interrupt.
Sidra
Meh. I think people are just stupid as they play through it. It's a thinking person's area.
Yanman.be
PvE is hard. Now laugh.

I HATE when they do that...
TechnoSword
my paragon always brings wild throw and i use it every time on em, simple as that. i actually think its a bit easy, ive never had any real difficulties when plowing around.
Ic Zero
they need to sort out the environment effect in the domain of secrets
LordDeArnise
It's hard, but just about right for the late part of NF. Besides, you're in Abaddon's turf. This is where you really have to plan out your attack and concentrate targets.
TechnoSword
yeah when your in the realm of a god who is planning on destroying the world, your expected to fight tough opponents not level 24 bunnies of darkness. toughen up i say!
Arkantos
It's the last place in the game, don't expect to be fighting bunnies and deer.
seut
The Domain of Fear where most groups consist of 4-5 Rain of Terror and without much space for kiting is frustrating.
Guardian of the Light
Realm of torment is fairly hard but still I don't think it's hard enough to be nerfed.
Spells cost 40% more energy? No problem I'll just get Eve to give everyone energy
Monsters keep making clones of each other? No problem i'll concentrate on one at a time and try to kill them before they make copies of each other
non-primary Quests spawn a ton of monsters? no problem I'll abadon them for now
Heal is reduced? No problem I'll get 3 healers.
Heros/henchman can't get lightbringer can't get lightbringer? No problem I'll call my friends

I hate the people who say "get better" btw, so anyone I read saying that I will personally kill slowly and painfully in front of his loved ones
For normal play: No, it is an alright challenge.
For 4-6x Rain of Terrors and some master quests: Yes please! Try henching the Demonic Fortune Teller... 4x Rain of Terrors, 1x Word of Madness, 2x Herald of Nightmares and the Fortuneteller, who does 200 damage with Wastrel's Demise, and casts it as soon as you get near her aggro circle.
Even with Chocking Gas ranger with Recurve Bow and Flurry, a SF ele and a WoH monk as heroes, it is pretty darn impossible!

The reason the RoT is so hard is beacuse if it was like the rest of the zones it would become way to easy with max LB

Yes, because I can get R8 Lightbringer with a snap of my fingers.
ekamdu
R8 means 8 damage reduction and +40% damage against those things, and you got the skills LB gaze and LB signet... so if you take a full human party (for example guildies), it'd be a laugh against weaker monsters...

No one said you can and you’re certainly not meant to but even at rank 4 and 5 which are perfectly easy to obtain casually it would still be ridiculously easy if it was comparable to normal areas from the start.

What's the single largest source of difficulty in the Realm? Well, each individual mob is beatable without too much stress unless there's an ele boss or something in the mix. So I guess it'd have to be the overlapping patrol paths, combined with the lack of mapping options to help you plan where you're going.
With me so far? Taking on one group is quite doable, two is uncomfortably risky, and three is instantly lethal. So the single most important thing to do when crossing the Torment is to bunch up, all follow the same path, and have the patience to stop and wait for certain patrols to move out of interception-range.
...Flaggable henchies do this much more consistently than any human group, even if they're on Vent.

It's the same thing as henchies not being infused in certain areas with Mursaat. It's true that players get advantage from lightbringer, but henchs have their advantage as well. The fact is that henchs don't get affected by the enviroment effect in every domains.
ie. players need 40% more energy to use a spell/skill in domain of secret, but for henchs the skill/spell energy cost for them doesn't change.

I have encounterd no problems with this area. my paragon provides mass healing and protection.

I did a portion of Realm of Torment earlier, and I found a few possible advice on tackling this part of Nightfall, besides getting as high of a LB rank as you can:
* Useful Heroes: Olias as a MM, Norgu as a Spiker, General Morgahn for defensive shouts and chants. For the Uncharted Territory primary quest, you can replace Norgu with henchie Odurra (you can drop Khim or Mhenlo then), and fill in that open hero spot with Dunkoro.
* Henchmen based on above: Devona, Gehraz, Khim, Mhenlo
As I've said before, go slow, plan your routes carefully, and talk to those scouts to get LB bounties.

its still to easy, you can hero/hench all the way....
imho they should make a place where, so hard so hard, that only 8 humans could do it =)

For the people who have been playing for over year RoT is easy and seems fine, why wouldn’t it be other wise we have a lot experience and all the skills unlocked and certain class will have an easier time then the others. But for new people it’s is going to be really tough next to impossible.

Ok I think There was a flaw on my tactics. Thats is bacuse of I am doing healing job while I can do damge more than hencies. So I go back a couple of AoE daamge spell and now things a lot easier for sure.

+1, Realm of Torments is too easy, like every area in Elona.
Thomas.knbk
Without even having plaed it, I can say it's not too hard.
It's PvE, which means you know beforehand what you're going to fight. That means you can bring specific counters to it. With specific counters, NOTHING is too hard. It's like entering HA with mantra of flame on all characters xD

I absolutely hate global environmental effects, but Realm of Torment is a good challenge - do NOT change it.

My answer to the OP is, "NO!". In fact they should make it even harder. The fact some people cry about how hard it is blows my mind. If you want everything handed to you on a silver platter go play something else.

Just like half the braggers you come across in the game you find out they are not as good as they say.
I suggest instead of bragging they post helpful information
