I am soooo lost, this is embarassing!

ok im lost, there is an event at the heros arena this weekend i can see that. But where is this place. I have been asking randome ppl in game for 2 hours and the closest i came to an answer is someone telling me to find the arena guard. Is there a specific place like team arenas that you can bring your heros. Something not as serious as HoH? If there is such an arena can someone give me directions to it. Just tell me the town its in.

To access Hero Battles you must unlock at least three Heroes onto your account. If you haven’t already unlocked the first three Heroes, just complete Zaishen Basic Training with a PvP character, then talk to the Priest of Balthazar, who will give you free unlocks.

I'm still lost, and this is why:

I only found out about this bug after playing my 3 new characters through the whole of Istan. I don't have a slot available to create a PvP character and I'll be damned if I'm going to delete a PvE one. I didn't care to try or even find out about Hero Battles earlier, too busy with the new PvE campaign. Now I'm locked out until ANet deems it the right time to fix this.

I'd have thought the right time would have beeen before having a %$#^ Hero Battles weekend event.

I cant get to it either! nor can anyone in my guild. No wonder people are moaning about it being empty there

It's still not very helpful to post (almost) the same link as the second poster.

Some accounts are unable to make initial access to Hero Battles without first unlocking it via a PvP-only character - it is a bug that is yet to be fixed.
