Item Hunt

I have no clue where I'd really post this, so I'm asking here: where can I hunt Monstrous Fangs or Jadeite Shards? I know that I can exchange Luxon Faction for the shards, but is there any specific area I can just hunt it? Thanks.

Monsterous stuff drops a lot in the Vizuhnah mission.... And I do know that that it is probable to salvage Jade and Amber from weapons that describe themselves as Jade or Amber something or other. But I would recommend getting those the good ol faction farming way since its easier.
*shrugs* Someone with more info than I may come along ^_^

I was told that Am'Fah have a small chance to drop Amber, so I'd assume that other mobs have a chance to drop the Jadeite Shards. I've not checked this, but I'd assume it'd be the Jade Brotherhood.

The Jade Brotherhood do drop Jadeite Shards. I solo-farmed them a couple of hours every day for about 3 weeks and got 2 shards off them. The chance is pretty slim. I didn't know about the Am Fah - I farmed a shed load of them as well but they never dropped amber.

I've never heard of Am'Fah dropping jade or amber and there is no evidence to back it up.

However...

Mobs in their respective areas (luxon - jade, kurzick - amber) have a really small chance of dropping those items, and there is an equally small chance of salvaging the material from a jade or amber weapon. You would do FAR better to farm the faction to buy jade. :P

As for the fangs - go where the monsters are. Like the previous poster said, Vizunah is a good place because of the huge numbers of afflicted. But i've seen them drop all over from any 'monstrous' creature. For me, i've seen more fangs drop from the bugs in Melandrus Hope.

Outcasts in Rhea's Crater (took me 10 seconds to remember her name) have a high chance of dropping Jadite Shards...em...good luck xd
