Just posting my new favorite Blood build for random arenas. Old builds would either use Life Transfer or Offering of Blood for their elite, but luckily! Nightfall has come and combined the two skills, the most awesome skill ever created for Necromancers Reapers Mark.
The build!
16 Blood Magic
13 Soul Reaping
Blood of the Agressor - 53 Shadow Damage, 53 Life Steal if foe is attacking, sac 5% health
Vamp Gaze - steal for 63 health
Shadow Strike - 50 damage, another 50 life steal if target is >50
Lifebane Strike - 50 damage, another 50 life steal if target is >50
Life Siphon - + 3 health regen for you, -3 health degen for opponent
Reapers Mark {ELITE} - -5 degen for 30 seconds, if foe dies with reapers mark you gain 19 energy
Signet of Lost Souls - gain 9 energy and 88 health if target foe is below 50%
Res Sig
This gives an 8 degen for about 25 seconds (life siphon lasts 25, reapers 30). When a target dies you get 9 energy from the signet of lost souls, 13 energy from soul reaping and another 19 (!!!!) energy from reapers mark, which means that you're pretty much full again (41 energy). It's much advised to use 20/20 20/20 with this and not anything else, being able to spam everything is much more important then other mods.
Enjoy the build
The new BloodDegen for RA

lol fun, that's the exact build I've been using almost all the time when I go blood. I started using a major soul-reaping rune just for RM, since at 14 soul, it turns into -6degen.

No cover for RM. Gotta do a chain of like Siphon/RM/PB. You dont even need many points in curses. You can easily run 16 BM, 13 SR, 4 Curses. Drop the SS double.

I personally find that not using Shadow and Lifebane Strike destroys the damage potential of the build, aswell as making signet of lost souls a lot less usable. Life Siphon is normally the cover hex, against heavy hex removal you just need to spread siphons around and use it to cover Reapers on the main target. Reapply if needed.

Definition of a cover hex- cheap, fast casting, and fast recharging hex that goes on top of an important hex, preferably that has a beneficial effect upon ending. Examples: Parasitic Bond, Ether Phantom, etc. Life Siphon is NOT a cover hex. Life Siphon is a 2 cast hex and I know very few Hex Removals currently in the metagame that cast for more than 1second. Add in aftercast... CLEARLY not a cover hex. In the almost 3s it's gonna take you to put that hex on, someone would've remover RM already. Plus it costs you 10 energy...
Btw are you my new person that I never agree with?

He did say RA. I was runnin pretty much this exact build for abit, never had a major prob coverin it with siphon. Good for AB or other battles like that too. I really wouldnt toss in PB if it's only there as a cover hex. It's not like were usin LT with it's ridiculous recharge time

Btw are you my new person that I never agree with? Might be, Life Siphon however has a short cooldown and because you nearly have unlimited energy with this build to start with it handles fine as a cover hex. Also, a spell that gives -5 degen really isn't THAT high on the priority list of hex removal, it also only has a 10 second cooldown aswell. You don't see monks making haste to remove conjure phantasm either. Life Siphon is a fine cover hex.
Taking a cover hex over something that will do 100 spike damage is just silly if you ask me.

I find replacing Lifebane and Shadowstrike with Barbed Signet and PB a lot efficient, because by the time you are done casting RM and Life Siphon (which I cast PB after RM now instead of LS, need the coverhex -.-), their health its most likely 60~75%, throw in 2 secs to cast Lifebane or Shadowstrike and its already below 50%. By using PB, I get a mini heal and another bar of degen, getting it up to 9 (RM hits 6 at 14 SR), then I use Gaze and Blood and they are pretty much dead.
This is all without any sort of heal, and most people doesn't realize what the heck is going on before dying... yeah I know.. sad reflexes =/

the need for a cover hex is extremely overrated which can be negated by having huge saturation of hexes from 2 or more players and/or a ton of direct dps pressure that forces monks to run and heal for their lives instead of trying to remove hexes

Here's a different version:
[skill]Reaper's Mark[/skill][skill]Faintheartedness[/skill][skill]Life Siphon[/skill][skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill][skill]Enfeeble[/skill][skill]Strip Enchantment[/skill][skill]Return[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
It's got the cover hex, damage mitigation, and enchantment removal. It is all degen so you'll need someone with damage, but that isn't too much to ask for in RA.
And @audioaxes, remember that this is RA we're talking about, you can't assume you're gonna have another hexer in your group.

Been running a similar build for a while now, it's been tearing the RA's a new one.
16 Blood, 14 SR

Been going very well for me. Life siphon has a quick enough recharge that it can be easily dumped on all 4 party members in a short period of time, getting you a bucket load of regen for 24 seconds. The gaze/strike/agressor are there for quick and sharp spiking. Reapers is there for the main degen (covered by siphon) and a burst of energy while Strip enchant is a quick health gain and for killing attunements and neutralities. SoLS is a staple these days and the energy is more handy than the health.
