On a serious note, I have been speaking with our server admin today. We are looking into what's changed recently to cause the slow down. When I have some more information I will let you all know.

maybe you have something else running eatin your pc speed because this site seems to take more cpu or ram idk but its loading fine for me

Well then you guys must have my account set to some sort of 5-10 second delay. In the 1 and 1/2 years I have been a member here, I have never experienced this so called "faster browsing."

Not to mention the " The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings."

Im on highspeed, I spend way too much time on the net and I really dont seem to have loading issues anywhere but Guru. I have grown to accept it but sometimes it really bothers me.

I guess I need to pay for a premium account to see if that helps.

5-10 seconds is what I get, usually. It's not so bad, but like you said the display errors are what get troublesome (usually to our doing--admin searches tend to crash the server so we rarely use them).

At this very moment, 2 of 3 browsers open to Guru are 'Cannot Find Server' pages. The auction area seems to be somewhat worse on the loading times, more in the neighborhood of 10-15 seconds.

On a side note, this Bears/Vikings game is terrible....

Did I originally say 5-10 second delay? What I really meant was 10-45 seconds.

I hate you Guru....for being so good, but so slow. Right now tis very bad.

I just got a 49 second delay loading into this thread.

I too have NEVER experienced this "faster browsing"... From the moment I joined this site there have always been delays, time-outs, and it just really makes this site a pain to use... I do use it, because it's very valuable to me when I need info, but whatever servers you use really are not up to the task of hosting this site...
