Hy there First of all i would like to express my opinion about PvP in GuildWars. Thats the only thing which i'm missing here. I mean that PvP in GW means PartyVSParty not a PlayerVSPlayer. It would be really awesome that there also be Player VS Player arenas, where u could fight 1 on 1. First of all it will be very interesting and other thing is, that people will learn faster how to fight against certain profesion opponent, what skills are best for opponents skills and so on. For example i'm playing Guild Wars for a year maybe. And i still dont have an Idea how to defeat warrior with my ranger. I have an idea which skills to use and i would like to try that, but I never got a chance. Coz in PvP arenas, i mean Party vs Party arenas u dont have time to do that. In Hall of Heroes maybe? Wont even talk about it.
So it will be AWESOME, if in PvP islands there would be also Player VS Player arena.

If you want Player vs. Player, where individual skills are tested, do the new Hero Battles.
Guild Wars isn't designed for straight-up 1 vs. 1. Who would win between a Warrior and a Necromancer/Mesmer?

I saw a map somewhere of The Ilse of the Nameless continent where it had a 1x1 arena, i think they were going to add it, but since hero battles were far more suitable for chapter 3, maybe they waited for another chapter to add it

Join a guild and use the already existing scrimmage feature to go 1v1 against another guildie or alliance member.

Well, going 1-on-1 will only let you learn how to go 1-on-1 against a certain profession's specific build, so it's a pretty pointless addition.
You still won't learn anything about going against another profession in a team build. The simple reason being 1-on-1 builds will be very different from builds designed for teams.

Still i think that there should be somekind of competitions arena or smth like that for solo PvP or somekind of activity, without henches and heros.
OFF-TOPIC: For me for example i very like doing HoH but becoz i cant use Teamspeak or Vent because my internet provider blocks those ports it's very hard for me to find a team, also this is my second account so i'am not ranked and it's extreemely hard to get ranked now. So when i try to find a team i get kicket becoz either i dont have TS or VENT, or either i'am not ranked. So i dont do HoH at all. That rank system is quite stupid i think and it should me corected coz it's very hard for new ppl. Second think is GvG, it's the same think, first of all i cant find a guild which do GvG everyday and if i find one still i cant do it coz either TS or VENT is required. PvP arenas and Team arenas are to boring. I do those sometimes but still same arenas, lot of leavers and so on and u get bored fast. So the only thing suitable for my type of players should be 1vs1 arenas or some kind of 1vs1 cometition arena, coz i cant do neither HoH neigher GvG. And i think that ArenaNet should integrate somekind of TeamSpeak into the GuildWars.

Hero Battles or Scrimmages, take your pick.
