Healing Rit Build
Craekor
Profession: [Rit/any]
Name: [Pure Rit Healer]
Type: [PvE/PvP]
Category: [Healer]
Attributes: [Restoration 12+1+3, Spawning 10+1]
Skills Set:Soothing Memories (restoration) -102 heal, +3 energy w/ item
Mend Body and Soul (restoration)- 121 heal, -1 condition when by a spirit
Spirit Light (restoration)-sac.17% heal 158, no sac. when by a spirit
Weapon of Warding (restoration)-11 seconds, +4 regen-50% to block
Vengeful Weapon (restoration)-63 life steal when ally is hit
Vengeful was Khanhei (restoration)- item, 11 second duration, when hit steals 37 health
Recpueration (restoration)- +3 health regen entire party, lasters 47 seconds
Flesh of My Flesh (restoration)- res- lose half of your health and res other with 21% energy
Summary: [The build is ment to be a pure healer. Cast Soothing Memories, Mend Body and Soul, and Spirit Light as your main heals. They all cost only 5 energy with a 5, 3, and 4 second recast time respectively. Cast Weapon of Warding on tanks to help recieve less damage, and Vengeful Weapon should be casted on either a tank and/or a caster with a monster on them. With the recast time being 3 seconds, it can be spam used to keep the ally alive and kill the monster. Use Vengeful was Khanhei when you get a monster on you and the other members are busy with other creatures, this usually keeps you alive with little healing, and you have the extra energy to heal the party also. Flesh of my Flesh is best used in combat, with the short cast, and no rescast timer. Stand by the Recuperation spirit and res the dead member,( be sure a monster is not near you), and the +3 regen will heal you back to full health quickly, and just a little heal, or Spirit Light (no sac. when by a spirit) if the person is a tank/melee dps class. The pvp perspective for me is best used when a sin is around. In AB (which I usually do) a sin and I mearly stand by the enemy main base and take off slackers. Weapon of Warding does most of the work. With Recuperation by the point, the rangers have a little heal just in case the point is trying to be taken. With Weapon of Warding, and quick heals the sin can take out several people at a time. And if the sin dies, Flesh of My Flesh brings them back up to finish the job. In most games, I never die. and the sin and I stay there the entire battle.]
Notes & Concerns: [No hex removal, and you get low on energy when you cast Recuperation several times in a long battle.]

WOAH!
*cough* Paragraphs *cough*
I think I see Vengeful was Khanhei in there. That's a little selfish isn't it? There is no guarantee you will get hit...I'd rather take something other than that.

Problems with your post (other than lack of paragraphs/spaces):
Attributes:
Spawning 10 + 1
Restoration: 12 + 1 + 3
If you have nothing else, put Spawning 12 + 1
Communion: 3 + 1
Your dashes are confusing. Obviously Soothing Memories is not -102 heal (that would mean it costs 102 health when you cast).
Otherwise, it seems fine to me. I ran a very similar build before I got my first elite

Good build, very similar to what I run, in fact.
I agree with a previous post: Vengeful was Khanhei seems out of place.
Have you tried the elite skill Preservation? Lasts a while, only costs 5 energy, heals for 100+ points every 4 seconds. Preservation is a very, very stupid spirit...but every free heal helps, even if the idiot spirit frequently heals someone at 100% health and ignores someone at 10%. However, when the spirit is on, he's like having an extra monk in the group. A dumb, poorly played monk, but still.
Wielder's Zeal is a new elite you might want to check out. For 25 seconds, you get 4 energy back for each weapon spell you cast. Talk about spamable fun with vengeful weapon! This skill really shouldn't be an elite in my opinion...would make more sense as a regular skill.

Preservation was in my previous build, but I was in too many groups when the other healer wouldnt heal me at all and i would die. Because preservation is a random area heal, im sitting back by all the casters, it seems to not want to heal me, instead the ele whos at full life. But i many go back to the change cause of several other suggesting the skill.

Only thing I would change is your elite; VwK only works on yourself, when you should bring something that will benefit the rest of your group.
runeseeker1
my healer build - has good healing, almost tankability, and can counter hexes with around +10 health regen and +24 armor
Generous was Tsungrai
Mend Body and Soul
Soothing Memories
Spirit Light
Resilient Weapon
Healing Breeze
Jamei's Gaze
Flesh of my Flesh
spam jamei's gaze, mend body and soul, and spirit light on allies. if under attack, cast generous was tsungrai and then spam soothing memories on yourself.
healing breeze and resilient weapon are great regen providers plus hex counters.
rez with flesh of my flesh + generous was tusngrai.

Here's what I've been using lately:
Restoration Magic - 16
Inspiration Magic - 12
Mend Body and Soul
Ghostmirror Light
Wielder's Boon
Resilient Weapon
Vengeful Weapon
Revealed Hex
Energy Drain [E]
Flesh of my Flesh
Resilient Weapon helps a ton in the realm of torment. Almost every mob you come across throws conditions and/or hexes at you. Combined with Wielder's Boon you have a +142 heal, not to mention regen and armor.
The build doesn't rely on spirits, so you trade off some extra benefits for mobility. The only spell that costs 10 energy is Resilient Weapon, so you should never really run into energy problems.

Pretty similar to what I have been running on my ritualist. I agree, i scrapped Preservation due to the erratic nature of the heals. I couldn't trust it would heal anyone effectively.
Rt/Mo
Restoration 12+3+1
Spawning 12+1
Healing 3
Ghostmirror Light
Mend Body and Soul
Southing Memories
Spirit Light
Res Chant (I prefer to have a res that doesn't wipe my hp)
Spirit Channeling
Recuperation
Life
Before entering combat, get Recup and life up. This is important. It ends up being a 5 point spammer build. Spirit channeling is used as an energy regen (obviously). Due to the nature of the -5 health degen during that 10 seconds, use it with recup as a cover (dropping degen to -2). Also, if you time this with the life timer, life will heal you and you won't even need to think about it. Life acts as your "heal party" indirectly.
I was able to keep 6 other players up (monk had bailed) and beat Glint in 10 min with this build. Keeping a group alive for 10 min at Glint was a very tricky one.

I was thinking of putting Spirit Light Weapon on as my eilte. It turns into a +111 heal, which is a better heal than my Soothing Memories.
im_a_wang
NO. You'll be good for about the first 30 seconds and then you'll turn completely ineffective if you don't have good energy management. As stated before, vengeful is too selfish as monsters aren't always going to gank you first. Unless this is pvp....but even then its too conditional. I would use Attuned was Songkai. Why? Simply because of Energy management. Your soothing memories are basically free (enough points in SP = 3 energy Soothing memories, + 3 after) and your recup won't kill your energy completely. Weapons can then be actually "semi-spamable." I would probably bring Resilient Weapon somewhere along the lines because a +6 health regen and armor buff when something as simple as parasitic bond is on you completely rocks. Oh, and poison and bleeding and burning turn to nothing.
HA! you like it when assasins are on your team? That must be a bizatch to heal.

Agreed
Why carry VwK when you can cast Mend Body and Soul as well as Spirit Light on yourself? If a monk is not healing you, heal yourself.
Drop VwK and add a spirit, something spammable with low E and fast recharge. Your heals work off of spirits, without them they are weaker, if the one you are carrying is killed early what are ya gonna do?
Of course now you will need to replace Soothing Memories since you will not be holding an item. I'm really into Weapon of Shadow right now, of course I only PvP with my Rit, so it is a great skill to use there.

I also did make a Ritualist healer which was able to godmode in RA and TA if there was no player who had energy drain skills. But I was unable to kill anyone because I was a pure spam healer. The longest match I did was 140 minutes in RA again warrior, necro, ele and mesmer. the 2nd longest was 120 minutes agains a W/N which almost did suicide when fighting me. (btw 140 min one I didn't solo there, my whole team was alive)
I took a bunch of healing spells, VwK to protect myself when healing another people a mesmer energy skill and echo. I had almost no problems to keep all my 3 teammates there health above 50%. If you do it right you can heal even more then a monk who's pure healing, but I think a monk can relax a little compared to a ritualist which really has to spam there healing skills like crazy.

my own rit healing build since a while :
Rit/Ranger
restoration 12+1+2
spawning 12+2
Wilderness 3
(you could lower spawning to about 10+2 in order to increase wilderness' score)
-mend body and soul
-soothing memories
-spirit transfer
-life
-recuperation / feast of souls
-attuned was songkai
-serpent's quickness
-flesh of my flesh
usage :
-cast serpent's quickness followed by attuned was songkai before battle
-use life in some safe spot and hug it
-spam first two heals
-use spirit transfer as needed for emergency heals
-use feast of sould if you brung it for some nice group heal combined with life / use recuperation when you can
-rinse and repeat
attuned was songkai gives rit an incredible effective energy management. thing is your party gets a bit weaker while you recast it since its 2s cast time could end up to the death of some mates but that's about it.

Ok, after finally capping Attuned, I'll speak it's praise (never bothered capping it before). Using my rit heal (above) and using attuned instead of spirit channeling, I solo healed a group at THK. The other monk and a nuker left the game (other monk errored out in first 10 seconds in mission). We survived, got the bonus, and I never ran out of energy. Good call.

Most people are dumbasses. Some people theorize there might be an exception to this.

Sorry but Spirit Light Weapon is rubbish. At least for an elite. I mean what point is a crappy version of Healing Spring in your elite slot?. Try Weapon of Remedy instead if you want a good Resto elite. I've even removed dazed from myself with this while getting attacked ^_^.
