250K Cable line ok?

Well, I'm having real issues with my DSL and will be switching to a 250K(or something like that) cable line via my cable company. It's much cheaper as well.

My question is this: Will GW run bad with this speed? My downloads will be about the same since I usually averaged 200-270K, but uploads will be significantly lower as I had a 1.5M line which usually ran 1-1.2m in reality.

the game has been designed for 56k dial-ups lol, i think you would be ok..

Yeah...I play on 56Kb/s. I'm sure it will be just fine on 250KB/s or 250Kb/s. (Which ever one it is)

I played GW just fine on 56k dial-up, as plenty of other people have. Unless your cable company has some extreme lag/latency/routing issue's then you should be able to play GW just fine on it...

While I am at work I use a wireless connection through Cingular Wireless's network. At times I do experience some extreme lag, but if my connection is good then GUild Wars plays rather good (slight lag at high server usage times though). So yes you should be fine with a cable internet connection as it is concidered "high speed".
