Hi, not claiming this as my own or anything of that sort, saw it once in arenas partially and made a slightly modified version of it to suit my needs!

I've only used this build in Competition Arenas and I've found it to be pretty effective.

Attributes:
Expertise: 11 [10 + 1]
Wilderness Survival: 14 [10 + 1 + 3]
Marksmanship: 12 [11 +1 ]

Weapons:
1: 15 over 50 short bow, poisoner's string and hp +30
2: 15 over 50 flat bow, poisoner's string and hp+30

Skills:
Troll Unguent
Crippling Shot {E}
Hunter's Shot
Savage Shot
Distracting Shot
Storm Chaser
Apply Poison
Resurrection Signet

Description:
Prep yourself with apply poison, and then use crippling shot on any warriors running at your team. As they hobble towards you, use hunter's shot to increase their degen, and then use crippling shot on all of your other enemies.

Watch casters and be ready to use savage shot or distracting shot, as this is build actually provides you with some good interrupt ability. Try to use distracting shot on quick recharge skills, and savage shot on long recast skills, to disable your enemy as much as possible.

Use troll unguent if your health starts to go down, it is a skill best used when you are still in the 75% range as it is only health regen and it has a long casting time, and thus is not much of a last second save kind of skill.

And of course, use storm chaser in conjunction with crippling shot and hunter's shot to stop enemies from attacking you while lowering their health.

It's a fun build to run, just now all of my teammates were dead and my resurrection signet was used up... It was me versus two level 20 melee characters and a level 18 elementalist. I used some tactful running, and after a few minutes of slowing them down, degenerating their health, and interrupting their self heals, I was able to take them down... Of course they spewed random words to me about how I was a no good runner and such, but I wasn't just running to piss them off... I did win in the end, and not by them simply leaving!

And lastly, I know this build has been done before, even possibly in a very similiar manner, so I'm sorry I cannot credit whoever originated it, but I thought people should know about it.

Looks like a solid build. However, one critism, damage isn't focussed and therefore not a solid output. The interuption helps, it can stop a player ressurecting which can be useful.

Have you tried substituting Storm Chaser for a defense stance/prep (whatever)?

I find whenver I am in a pinch whirling defense, or dryders defense or whatever those skills that a ranger has is really helpful when I am being attacked by a warrior.

Very solid build.

You weren't running, you were just repositioning faster than they could

In all seriousness, you were using your build to its fullest extent, if they didn't have a snare of some kind and running skills of their own it is their own fault.

Given that this thread is 4 years old, I doubt it. Don't bump old threads.
